why is the word elders being used so frequently? are these people mormans?
@tanaka64083 жыл бұрын
A first date definitely has to be somewhere that allows you to talk. Some place quiet. If we can't hold a conversation for long then we won't work out. I love what Dr Carroll said about staying true to yourself. That should guide you. If you're doing stuff that you know you wouldn't normally do then why are you even going on the date. The need to please someone and creating the 'perfect' date shouldn't come at the cost of sacrificing your comfortability and who you are.

You all just set down, and I know right off the bat there's going to be a conversation that is so gratifying. As a single mother who just Binge watch All American, I am claiming this sitcom as my favorite for the 21st century. It is stream lining, and has cultivated a way I can have an important discussion with my 14 year old son who look like he is 18 going on 20-25. Until he speaks and you actually engage him. I'm typing and the gentleman sharing in the 6:20 mark has me at it takes a village. I never imagine in all my years to have so many men in my family. Be born into such a large family. Yet I feel so alone. This pandemic has only made it worse. Never-the-less God bless each and everyone of you. Fan for life. God bless you young man in all your future endeavors.

I’ve always been a lover of porches & all they represent…. #BringBackTheFrontPorch ❤️🙏🏽

I resonated with the bit about representing black people when you are in a particular position. The weight that comes with it especially when you're still oblivious to what you represent. People expect you to be more aware and alert to stuff that you actually don't realize exists or affects you especially when you're still young. Some of us really get into these careers or jobs because its fun or we just need to get paid and live to see the next day. So its quite something realizing the impact your decisions have on others. How you act, what you say and how you say it matters.

I understand how it takes a village. I was raised by everyone in my community as well. We grew up knowing that our neighbours or elders in the community have just as much right to whoop our asses like they are family. I am a person who loves to travel and I'll go after what i want meaning if succeeding means moving to a foreign land by myself i will do just that. Unfortunately that means while I'm so busy chasing the bag and going after what i want i then move away from my home and the support system i need. My circle is full of people that think the same and in travelling I've found that you can make a home wherever you are if you're lucky enough to be around the right people.
