I often think of it as disrespect that many Americans think that all Asians are Chinese. Maybe I should not feel so bad knowing that many Chinese think that all dark skinned people are African. We are not all African. Dark skinned people have always inhabited the entire World. To limit us to Africa is limiting our birthright to our lands around the World. As a Black American, I can go back many generations without ever finding an African in my lineage, yet Polish, Italian, German etc come to our country and claim to be American after only 1 or 2 generations.
