19:55 I worked my way up from the full time prep person to a corporate trainer,. Within 8 months I had trained and moved up 4 levels to cook. Then I was picking to do the corporate program. Which means I would be sent to the new franchise restaurants, to train the employees before their grand opening. After 5 years I left that job for family reasons. 2 years later I wanted to get a part time job, and I was confident I still remembered enough to do a great job. The location I got haired to work at, had an all male cooking cred at that time. So from day 1 the kitchen manager was condescending to me every time he spoke to me. I quickly realized that he was correcting me on things I knew I was doing correctly. So I finally had to have a private conversation with him. So I could highlight my background, training and extensive experience. But unfortunately the next day that Friday of my 1st week there, he was still being disrespectful. So I stood my ground, and called him out in front of the other employees, so they got my side of the story too. That Friday ended up being my last day.

I think it’s more important to have a conversation about what is causing the proliferation of single (unmarried) mothers and what can be done to avoid this phenomenon.

I am a black female executive and I am watched on every level...hair, clothes, company decisions, and even if I smile or not.
