For real dude lol. Bonobo’s and Orangoutangs are quite a bit more chill. Not safe to walk up on but they are way less likely to act like raging psychopaths than chimps. I don’t ever want to be around chimps without a cage in between us. Bonobos and Orangutans would be less frightening though. Gorillas are usually pretty chill but you have one big King Kong looking mofo who is a lunatic. In general I don’t care to be around any of them and I am happy I live in North America. Sure we have giant death machines in big cats and bears but they aren’t problem solvers like these creeps are 🤣. Side not the female chimps give me the whilly’s for obvious reasons

People sometimes see chimpanzees as just goofy monkeys. 🤪 mainly due to how we have seen them via TV 📺 and other media. But the reality is they are extremely intelligent, they can be devious, loving, supportive, nurturing, and very aggressive. I've watched, studied, and enjoyed these animals for years and their family groups continue to show me so much more of their intelligence. This zoo keeper is amazingly knowledgeable about his group. The saying that a feared member can be the leader but not as long as say a popular chimpanzee was another thing I've learned. The alpha male is always seemed to be the most powerful for good reason. To protect his family. The females however have a more complex and intricate hierarchy. Oddly like us in a way. Women by nature are far more nurturing and loving but also can determine how things are done. Interesting video that explains and teaches us how these primates live. Well done! Looking at Alice she was a bigger stronger looking chimp. I can see why she was "feared". She looked like she could become very nasty. Amazing how a "popular" girl wins the crowd and makes the males do her bidding, like high school....lol.

@ZippedUpKitz
@ZippedUpKitz 2 жыл бұрын
@@normacotter3377 hi there… this condition you are asking about, it’s called anogenital swelling…. When a female chimp (as well as some other primates, including pig tail macaque monkeys,) comes into estrus, her genitalia and surrounding anal area will swell… the bigger the swelling, the further along she is in her estrus cycle and therefore ready for mating… if you watch Vila closely, you will see her "swinging" or "circling" her back side there in the faces of the males; especially Dominant male, Dylan… she is basically saying, "hey there big boy… you want some of this? Come on over and get ya some!" lol….

In this group, individuals of different subspecies of chimpanzees are mixed. Each chimpanzee subspecies has its own characteristics in the model of social behavior. Representatives of different subspecies, being in the same group, often do not understand each other and have a negative attitude towards each other, which leads to frequent conflicts and a tense situation. Without knowing this, researchers sometimes draw many wrong and false conclusions about the behavior of chimpanzees in a group.

I even know a Japanese group, where an elder brother is a real mean brat, beats everyone with branches or so, and indeed tortures his baby brother. And he loves to steal him, though mother AND grown up sister care real tender, forces him to hang at his stomach, like the baby does with mother (he cannot run away. It seems to be a reflex to clinch) and then he climbs with that baby who nearly dies I'm fear on the high trust top and enjoy the power,;even runs away with the baby if finally the sister tries to rescue the little one. Anyway; the baby tries desperately to get loose, and when this starts, the brat puts the baby $s hand into his mouth. It seems to be a sign of master and unworthy nothing in two directions. When that elder brother has the bsby $s Hand in mouth, the baby ends with the struggles to get free.

It might be. Chimps do not observe Marquis of Queensbury rules when fighting. They will grab, scratch, gouge, and bite. Extremities such as fingers, ears, and even genitalia are fair game.

In a concrete enclosure its bad for them. Half. Of their living space is concrete and so many of them not enough room. Zoos are helpful for endangered animals but bad for them to live in overall. Wildlife refuge is much better but much more expense.

Possibly from over-grooming. Mange has also been a problem. In rare cases, alopecia could leave a chimp almost entirely hairless.

Ive watched several ape documentaries and though i agree they live in a society with rules and emotions BUT the humans who work or research them in the wild place far too many human emotions or reasoning to the chimps everyday life and actions. I dont buy much of it. Animals may have human characteristics but they are still animals.

They’re not my favorite, either. Orangutans and gorillas seem much nicer. Monkeys (the guys with tails) are creepy, too. Just smart enough to form violent mobs.
@kltpurp2206

Obviously chimps are very violent and cruel. But I think the appeal is the parallels between chimps and humans in regards to sex, hierarchies, and behaviour. Yea they are very primitive, but Chimp society’s are a glimpse into early humanity and from an anthropological lens are quite intriguing in my opinion.
@awnutz

@@kltpurp2206 a very reasonable statement. But I can’t think of anything much more disgusting than the backside of a female chimp in heat.
