That’s Shabanis fault. Can’t blame the female, she is only receptive when she’s receptive, and that is completely down to biology. Males are ready to mate whenever. No different to humans.

They really need to trade ai for another female. That's what zoo's normally do when the breeding program isn't working. Putting mother and daughter, or sisters in the same group is a mistake anyway

I disagree Tayari and Iriki make Wonderful mates for D’Jeeco and this family has great dynamics. Moving Ai right now would be a huge mistake. Shabani loves his famiy. I can only imagine when they move Kiyo and Annie he will Be devastated. These animals do form bonds they are family. You just can’t move them around like they mean nothing to each other. This is AI’s home and troop. This is what they have to deal with and things may change once NeNe is no longer with us. I don’t like saying this but I know she plays a huge factor in this troop.

@@karenthompson8151 they do make good mates. A d I like both of them. But when sisters are in the same group, you always have one that is possessive and jealous, like tyari. They always have squabbles and fights, mostly because of jealousy. Plus there is a increased chance of inbreeding in these cases. That's why it's not a good idea.

Her last pregnancy was messy so i don't really blame the zoo in this situation They had to raise Annie and had a hard time reintroducing her to the group so they are probably not looking forward to another pregnancy Once Nene is gone and Annie & Kiyo are starting their own groups they will likely try again or introduce a new female later down the road after all Shabani and AI will be the only ones left here

I don't see Kiyo and Annie going anywhere anytime soon. It's just a shame Shabani had to leave Taronga in the first place as Mogo would have been the place for him and Haoko could have been in Werribee 🙁🙁

She is likely on birth control. Her last pregnancy was a mess and the zoo ended up raising baby Annie and later on trying to re integrate her to the family which also took time and patience Unless they introduce a new female here i don't think we're seeing new babies As Shabani also gets older new babies become even less likely

AI is definitely on birth control she has had two pregnancies one where the baby “didn't” make it and one where she rejected the baby(Annie). If I was the Zoo Keeper I wouldn't take the chance of her getting pregnant again either.
