Regrettably, in the process of this liberation, many innocent civilians suffered and uncountable lives were lost... Many European cities were completely flattened by mass aerial bombardment using indiscriminate unguided weapons, the advancing Allied ground forces and the retreating Germans... But the end result was arguably worth it as it has given Western Europe almost 80 years of peace, security and prosperity since then... Can you imagine this in the Middle East, which instead has suffered its unfair share of conflict, terrorism and misery?

The battalion in the video, the Caracal battalion, is acutally a mixed gender, majority female, infantry battalion (with one company of tanks). Many female infantry fighters that serve in this battalion took part in the battles of Oct 7th, including Or helself.

This battalion has been a mixed infantry battalion since it's founding (in the year 2000), I'm not at all sure if Israel was even the first there. The tank company is actually the new/experimental portion of it and takes the focus in the news specifically because these battles were the first armor battles to be conducted by a female crew anywhere in the world.
