Been devastated since my M4000 gave up. Have done a diagnostic and I have one transformer no good the same as the video. Might email you about what I would need to do to get a replacement. Great tutorial videos by the way.👍

Just quality built parts inside. Don't cheap out on components and put a bigger component that can handle things easier.

I have this unit and struggling with it. First it was alternating good and bad clicks which i could alter by hitting that capacitor board, but now its totally dead. No green pight. Noone home. 230v is getting to the first resistor (measuring across the big blue one in the main pcb) any ideas? Diodes all test fine. Main capacitors all test 8-10uF. Transformers look fine but that shiuldnt matter for the issue i have i guess

Your capacitors are pretty weak, they should all read 30uF. I do imagine the issue might be within the main module though, but it's hard to say until you had good capacitors installed. You'll have a hard time finding the stuff mounted versions like that one has, but Gallagher does offer 30uF that aren't stud mounted and are flat on the bottom, which I've used. You just set them in place and get things lined up and once the board is sat on top of them, they typically stay in place.

@@flyingkiwi26 It's likely in the main big board somewhere that's gone bad. I would test the larger 3 legged SCR's to see if they're bad or not. Those are things that will shut the unit down and keep it from running.
