Nice!!! What do you think of the barts? I’ve got a bass w their humbuckers but haven’t had direct experience with their jazz style pups.

@@Lorenzomiller82oh their pickups are soo great it gives the bass more bite and low end. While they are hum cancelling.

@@recordlabeldao7820maybe it is the super natural finish that gives it that look. I do have several maple neck basses and this American professional neck is much darker. Appreciate the correction! Neck feels awesome!

Do you know what is the string distance at bridge? 😊 I don't see it listed anywhere
@hoompaloompaa
@hoompaloompaa 10 ай бұрын
i think its 19mm string spacing.
@wrs840
@wrs840 10 ай бұрын
Most modern 5 string Fenders (and Squiers) are 18mm string spacing at the bridge. The Fender Roscoe Beck V is 19mm. It is crazy how may manufacturers and resellers don't list string spacing on fives and sixes. It's an important spec.

@@hoompaloompaaBridge has adjustable slots. But I’m pretty sure it comes at 18.4mm from the factory. Can go tighter or wider from there.

Was there any neck dive?
@Lorenzomiller82

I gig with this bass a few times a week and never find myself fighting it. Neck dive is almost non existent with a good strap. Feels great on the shoulders!

It don’t have a preamp tho that’s crazy at 2000 bucks

I completely agree. This bass should be priced 300-400 cheaper. Inflation is rough but Fender is just taking advantage of us hard working musicians at this point. I added a audere preamp for $90. I’ll have a follow up video soon with a comparison. The American ultra’s are almost 2400$ now :(

I have the four string version of the Fender American Pro with the V mod II pickups and active electronics have their place but these new Fender Jazz basses IMO are the best yet They have a very even response and quite a resonate low end that I think would be lost if run through an onboard preamp.

I don’t think the neck is roasted. It’s just painted
@Lorenzomiller82
@Lorenzomiller82 4 ай бұрын
@@CNick75 that is correct! Back when I did this video, multiple sites had it listed as roasted maple so had based my stats on those specs I had in front of me at the time. Those same sites have since corrected those specs and it’s now just listed as “maple”. Reminds me a lot of my charvel Jj that was listed as a 35 scale but is clearly a 34 :) It’s a great playing neck on the professional II and I do appreciate the vintage look. Appreciate the comment as well as the view!
