I’m 43 and used to play when I was younger, but quit. In choosing a new, cheaper guitar, I had it down to this, an Epiphone and a Yamaha, and this video, among others, convinced me to go for the Fender … GLAD I DID. It’s a lovely, entry level guitar. Cheers.

I have the cutaway electric version, fantastic guitar. I don’t know why it is marketed for beginners, maybe because of the price (only 219€) but it’s easily good enough for a gigging musician. Mine came with D’Addario 11 gauge phosphor bronze strings which I think are perfect. Thanks for the review!
@DanielAndersonGuitarTuition4 жыл бұрын
Thank you. This model is a starter instrument. It depends where you are planning to gig! If this is a serious thing then you need to spend real money on a guitar that solid top, back and sides! i.e. it will last and sound great!

Ok everyone. It really is about price here. You get what you pay for. I don't like the word cheap, so let's say entry level lol. That's all some people can afford and that is fine. If you want a guitar that sounds really good you will need a guitar that has solid back and sides. Go to the manufactures website and read the specs on their entire range of guitars. It will be an education and you'll know a heck of a lot more than most by the time you finish lol
@ronvonryan4 жыл бұрын
@@DanielAndersonGuitarTuition The problem is the wording on videos and websites is misleading, even in your opening words on your video you say 'Fender all mahogany', when in fact it's a solid mahogany top with cheap mahogany laminate back and sides. Anyone who knows about guitars will know straight away that at that price even though it's a very good guitar it's not going to be all solid wood, but to a learner it can be very misleading.
@DanielAndersonGuitarTuition4 жыл бұрын
@@ronvonryan I think I used that description as it what Fender was using for the product in question. However I very much agree that certain terms and descriptions can be misleading. A solid top is a start but the wood, craftsmanship and parts are what you pay for.

Hello, Daniel! Thank you for great video! I would like to know has Fender 60cd the widest neck? Because the most acoustic guitars have narrow neck and are difficult to play for people with big hands.
@DanielAndersonGuitarTuition4 жыл бұрын
Hi there. There are plenty of people with big hands that play guitars with small necks. Just look at Steve Vai. He has big hands and plays electric! I play a Lowden which has a slightly wider neck than the CD60-S but I personally find it easier to play a narrower neck. I think it's an individual thing. Check out my article on my website blog (www.daguitartuition.com) where I talk briefly about the classical position for the left hand.
