Wow, wow and WOW!!! I've been playing guitar a LONG TIME (50 Years) and this is THE BEST DEMO I've ever seen on a guitar. Congratulations you guys to a job well done! Excellent playing and very informative descriptions regarding the development of this guitar. Plus, a lot of good input from Lincoln himself. No boring gibberish here like 99% of the demo's you usually see on youtube. Doug you did an excellent job running this guitar through it's different settings. Just awesome tones!!! I just found out that Fender was making this Lincoln Brewster Model yesterday from a friend who sent me an email. I subscribe to Guitar Player Magazine, Premier Guitar Magazine and Vintage Guitar Magazine and I don't ever remember seeing ANY promos or advertising for this guitar at all. Unless I somehow missed it in one of the magazines. Anyway, after seeing this awesome demo I immediately ordered one of these guitars and should be seeing it in 3-4 days. I heard one guy say that he liked his so much that he was thinking about ordering a SECOND one! Thank you again guys for this fantastic demo! I am so happy for Lincoln Brewster because he's a first class guy and a first class musician and I hope Fender sells a million of them!!!

I own 3 of these. They are fantastic to play. I went so far as to swap out the electronics on one with a Seymour Duncan Yngwie Malmsteen Fury loaded pickguard...the neck is THAT nice to me. I sold my last YJM Fender cuz I couldnt gel with the scallops. All in all, the LB is the most versatile Strat I have owned, and the most comfortable to play.

for me : the locking tuners are not perfect (not like Grover for example) the trem : as good as Beck's trem ? the boost is only 12 db not 25 like CLapton no tbx no neck pickup +bridge pickup together = not perfect to sound like a telecaster for heavy metal a humbucker is better so, if you don't know that it's a great guitar between hss ultra-Beck-Clapton

Had for better part of a full day now. Set the story up a bit - I've owned approx 7 strats, all upper-tier Mexican made, which are fantastic for the price point. NEVER has one put a continuous grin on my face (and in one day no less) than the Brewster Strat. I feel like I'm holding the perfect Strat!. Only disappointment is a small one that can be easily rectified, and - for a $2000 artist sig model, Fender REALLY cheaped out on the single ply, credit card thin pickguard.

When I heard Lincoln say it has a quarter sawn neck in the video, and why don't they all. It only makes sense. I knew mine didn't. I bought mine new years eve 2020 and it does not have a quarter sawn neck. I have a Eric Johnson that does. Pretty easy to "spot" the difference. After watching this video I immediately went to Fender site and there is no mention of it being QS or in Lincoln's promo video. I have no complaints at all. I've had 5 strats so far including a 62 when I was 18. This is by far the best solid body guitar I've played. I always wanted a Clapton and this is better, actually it has some of the features Clapton has on his own strats but they haven't updated the EC signature in 35 years. I was lucky I got mine when I did. It went up $200 in early 2021 and has since gone up to $2349. I feel fortunate I got mine for $1800 with Fender Play 10% discount. It is heavy, mines weighs in at 8lbs-12oz outweighing my heaviest LP by 4oz. When I bought mine I had lost 80% use of my right arm while I was waiting for level 4 cervical fusion surgery. I really couldn't play it for almost a year. 9 mos after surgery the nerves had healed and I could raise my right arm all the way up. With a really good, wide, padded strap and a lot of experimenting with the controls it became my favorite guitar of all time. I don't see myself parting with this one.

This is the best video I have seen on Lincoln's signature. I like how you combined your own playing along with the Fender reps and Lincoln himself. I have been thinking about this guitar as a worship guitar. Most worship guitarists today seem to moving to Gretch's or boutique guitars. In your opinion is this a versatile guitar for worship?
@WorshipMusicianMag
@WorshipMusicianMag 3 жыл бұрын
Hello Jack, appreciated, thanks;) I love this guitar for worship and the controls are awesome. To your point, it's not gonna sound like a Gretch... but, most of our teams don't sound like the original recordings, so with that in mind this is a very worthy option, especially given the range of tone shaping features. Thanks again for the kind words and taking the time to share your question:)

@Joe-mz6dc
@Joe-mz6dc 4 жыл бұрын
@@dingleberry6486 Not sure what you are talking about. Sometimes you have to adjust the action using the truss rod. There are important reasons why truss rods exist. If the neck is already at the correct curvature, and you can adjust the bridge saddle height, great, but depending on the angle of the neck, and changes in the humidity/weather, the truss rod definitely needs to be adjusted. It's not a question of being a "fan" of it or not, it's a question of necessity.
@bonwana2275
@bonwana2275 4 жыл бұрын
@@Joe-mz6dc 100% correct. The truss rod is there for a purpose of adjustment. The wood of the neck is affected by temp and humidity just like strings are. I just bought this strat and i am still waiting for delivery!

This is sooo awesome. Thank you for this video! Really cool to have someone from R&D saying their thoughts on the creation of this guitar. Question: I noticed that the neck pickup is a bit bright? Is it due it not having a tone control?

Hey! AWESOME and THANKS!! So the neck pickup is 'brighter' and I believe you are correct as to why. While I didn't mind this, it is audible, and I think where it really shines is having some extra cut on higher gain neck tones. Great ear:)

What happened to the quarter sawn necks? The first ones that came out were quarter sawn now they aren't, but have the same price. That's pretty crappy of Fender to do. I'm not really surprised by this. It's all about the bottom line as usual.

@@phenixreturns I don't think people actually.get my.point. It would be the equivalent of Fender taking the Clapton strat and swapping.out the pickups for squire.affinity pickups but charging customers.the.same.price. The first Brewster signature strats that were released all had quarter sawn necks. Lincoln himself in an interview.said that was his personal specification. Also a.more expensive one, but not necessarily better. Then somewhere along the line Fender did away with the quarter sawn necks, but left the price the same even though it cost much less to make the guitar. Am I the only person who caught this? I mean it's still a great guitar, I've played one, but not fair to the customer in my humble opinion.

I have this guitar. Love it. However, the 9v in the back will drain out if you leave the cable plugged in. When that happens, the guitar still plays, but the pull feature on the volume knob won't work. Moral of the story - unplug the guitar when you're done with it.

Beck 's tremolo : same effects ? the color is great that's all
