Fender’s New Lincoln Brewster Signature Stratocaster | Full Review

For more than 25 years and through 10 albums, Lincoln Brewster has expressed his faith while showcasing his soulful and dynamic playing style. His music has touched the hearts of millions and made him premier artist in the Christian Music and Praise and Worship scene. With Lincoln often scene, playing blisteringly fast lead lines on his Aztec Gold Stratocaster, the idea of a signature model Stratocaster has been something that guitarist in the worship community have been talking about for years. Well the wait is finally over! Fender has just introduced the world the new Fender Lincoln Brewster Signature Stratocaster. The striking Aztec Gold, beaming under the luster of nitrocellulose finish makes this guitar seem like a 1957 Stratocaster but upon closer inspection this guitar is a wonderful blend of the old and the new. It has a host of unique features like: Ash body with lacquer finish, a “Soft V”-shaped neck; a 9.5”-14” compound radius fingerboard; 22 medium-jumbo frets, One DiMarzio Area 61 single-coil Strat bridge pickup; two DiMarzio Area 58 single-coil Strat middle and neck pickups, the "secret sauce" - Active preamp with mid-boost and finally; Vintage-style locking tuning machines. It is a fine playing guitar with a smooth tonal response. While we may not all be able to possess Lincoln's amazing hair, we can be blessed to hold the guitar he designed with Fender. Ok. The mid boost is separated from the pull pot. The pull pot is a 10db overall gain boost that is connected to a battery. They work independently of each other. Mid boost is to get a humbucker-ish tone. From your strat. The boost is for when you need the strat output to go to 11!

I work as a Skycap at the local airport in Sacramento. On two occasions, he gave me his instructional DVD's... for free. I forgot. He also gave me his Live CD with his version of "Hallelujah"(I had never heard of it and I can't listen to other renditions). The solo is chilling!

tabl10s Nothing beats Jeff Buckley’s version of Hallelujah. All just clean chords on a Telecaster. Hallelujah doesn’t need a solo and is not a song for showing off your lead work.

Good on you for knowing stuff about this guy's service with his music. While I am a Christian, I have never heard of the guy. Like his Catastraster, though. I have the American Original White Blonde, but would love to have a 10-14 and bigger frets. Good on him.

I saw one of these is a Nashville store today. I wasn’t too fond of the look but after playing most of the strats in the store(including some CS ones) this was the best playing guitar in the building. Was very impressed

I never thought I'd be looking for a strat because I am a djentleman. But to have something like this as a supplement to what I already have would be awesome. Though I may have to start with a Squire or at least the American made entry level because the lack of funds. This signature model is definitely something to aspire to.

Bought it this week after much study over the months, oh, and a *very temporary* flash price drop at an unnamed retailer made this possible! Bought for the specs alone, and this one is spec'd out well. First USA Strat after 7 very quality, upper-tier MIMs of varying versions. Got one with some serious weight to it, too (sure it's Ash??) @ about 8lb 8oz! My ONLY nitpick is for a $2000 artist sig model - Fender REALLY cheaped out on the hyper-dull credit card thin pickguard.

Man you demo a Fender Strat with fantastic pickups a mid boost that can be used on all positions and you play acoustic guitar riffs... No drive pedal either for drive tones.. Please do another Demo.. Love your channel but this demo doesn't show anything this guitar can do.
