So what I hear, is it completely relies on the electronics. Both absolutely great guitars. Soundwise. so for me, it comes down to actual physical construction, in other words, how does it perform in my hands, action to my preference, pickups reactive to my commands. so hard to decide, I have an Epepie traditional III, should I have a Strat, to complement my collection? will a strat be as good? Amazing video. Love that there’s no 30 minute intro before getting into it. Also I don’t know why I searched this. Maybe cos I decided to pick up the strat and be like wtf is this, where is all the soul. But didn’t have time to pick my les paul and plug it in before going to work and had to really get this idea recorded. Anyway now I know why I got the shock, cos I almost never plug the strat in. It’s like a guitar which sits on a stand for me to plink when waiting for an advert or something.

what i like about the high gain strat is while it sounds thin its got that kinda bite you in the ass sound while the les could solo with the bridge buck also what'd be cool if if the clean tones at the end of the video i'd actually like to see something out of that because the strat could start with the clean tone like you had then the les could mock it and you'd have a really cool song made from that just a suggestion

I think this is the 1st time I have liked a clean tone on a lespaul great job man ,still prefer strat for clean but I can clearly see that les paul clean tone being more preferable for certain type of scenarios, need to seriously think about owning a les paul now :D

Both are perfect in their own way, but Telecaster is the better overall instrument for me as it is capable of the loud LP sound and Strat clarity in one swing of a pick.

if play neck + bridge strato sound more a humbucker than other combinations (on g&l strat)

I wish the volume was equalized. I closed my eyes and was always drawn to the LP specifically for the cleans. I’m starting to think that the louder volume of the LP played a factor.

Jimi played a Strat. Therefore that's all I want to play.

It almost seems like the style of music you play will make a big difference. Almost all country stars use Fender Telecasters, almost all classic/easy rock use Stratocasters and most loud/hard rockers use Les Pauls. I myself go with a Strat hands down. I've owned both and the Strats seem more comfortable to play. I have always liked the look and shape of pretty much all the Fenders as well, but what ever floats your boat, they both are great guitars all the way!!!

I don't play the guitar but I can't tell the difference, just unable to describe it in words. What are the main differences if anyone can explain?

Great comparison. I love how you showed that a strat can get ballsy! My Strat is my most comfortable guitar but I always second guess it for heavier stuff because of the single coils. How are you sounding so noise free? Noise gate in your chain?
