Idk if i believe in the whole spiritual “good fortune” aspect of feng shui BUT i do believe that feng shui seems to admire the “momentum” of the potential attention to the focal points of objects within a space. Instead of seeing it as “chi energy” you could view it as “potential traffic for item use” in a home. And instead of feeling “good fortune”, you get “a satisfying feeling of comfort when you’ve maximized your space”. Even if you dont believe in the metaphysical aspects of it, there’s a lot of pragmatics behind the method making this a WONDERFUL technique for interior design. Absolutely love feng shui!

DEFINITELY, I would LOVE an entire series in a playlist, so I could binge watch them all!!! Thank you!!! I have to decorate our new house, which will be finished in a few months, we hope... It's a 5,600 SF - 8,000 under roof. It has a huge balcony, a large deck, a two courtyards and patios. When designing the floorplan for the house, I worked so hard to follow the bagua, however I failed. There were rooms that needed to go in certain areas, and couldn't so it was a disaster, and I was disappointed and gave up. Now I have to find a way to still feng shui the house, especially with the issues we are having with EMF - How does it interfere with the chi? So, I'm grabbing my pen and note book, and waiting for a long list of videos on the subject. Thank you!!! 😍🏡🔥💧🌬⛰

I heard about Feng Shui back in 2001 in a game called Animal Crossing. I had zero clue what it meant but adding a plant in a certain area gave me more points on home design. 🤷‍♀️. As a homeowner understand the importance of a home’s flow and zen. Our house was built before home recording was a thing and built in additions in the 60’s-70’s. We have low ceilings and not a whole lot of windows. Long end of it: Your videos have been helping out a lot!

When ever something was going on with her she would rearrange the furnishings in the home; say days we would come home and think we were in the wrong home. Yes; I would love to hear moor; I even look at whether my home is the tallest home on the block. So, yes, as a practicing student of TCM and Martial Arts, I Am hooked. Thank you for being a fellow “toilet seat & lid DOWN” person 🙏! I was brought up to always always always close the toilet lid, (After Use & Before flushing), from little on I embraced this very important hygiene & Feng Shui concept. The lid is there for a reason guys !! And it is super unhygienic to leave it up ( watch KZbin videos on toilet hygiene if you don’t believe me). Who really wants “poopsicles” spraying up in a micro mist that goes up to 2 m high and settling on ALL your bathroom objects ( fancy farticles having a party on your tooth brush, 🤢 ???) tell your man ( or male flat mates) to take a seat and stay seated throughout the whole of the performance so to speak, because: sprinkles are for cup cakes 🧁. Thank goodness my partner and I are on the same page there. Here is to breaking bad habits and establishing new good ones. Lecture over, 😂 thank me later 😉

Great video! I didn’t think of applying feng shui to my apartment until after I got it! It’s kind of a weird space, but it has lots of windows, every room has a window, even the bathroom, and I KNEW IT! I knew you’re supposed to close the door on the bathroom. I never leave the bathroom door open, but I’ve struggled with this, because the people in my life have never respected this boundary. I eventually gave up, but now I’m starting fresh, it’s a new life, and I’m so going to start enforcing this rule again!

Lol I used to feel that way every time I would learn about Feng Shui. But it’s important to not go down the rabbit hole, just integrate what you can in your home and stick to the basics. I don’t follow to the tee, I just make sure the home is clean, plants are thriving, follow the basics around mirrors and headboards. Don’t get crazy with it.

I really love the series and find it very thought provoking.its funny how many principals I grew up with though my mom never heard of Feng shui back then - keeping the toilet closed, never store things under the bed, don't put your purse on the floor... I learned to determine the corners by using the entry door to the house or the room rather than the direction.

Thank you for showing the knives in a drawer with a non-slip mat. I have wanted to put my knives away for *years* but didn't have a storage solution that would prevent me from worrying I would cut myself if they moved around, because I'm often clumsy and "distracted." I only have two knives, so I put a little silicone jar grippy thing in a drawer, and arranged my knives on it. The other items in the drawer are also on other silicone mats, so they won't move around onto the knives when I open the drawer. The whole thing took about 10 seconds, and my kitchen feels SO peaceful already! I'm actually looking forward to going back in there to clean up the clutter and take out the trash. Amazing! Small Feng Shui adjustments can make a huge impact.

Just discovered your videos. I love your easy explanations and tips on "designer" speak (from the other videos I watched tonight). I'm very interested in any videos about feng shui, especially how to correct things in the home we can't control and how best to counteract them. For instance, I'm just realizing that my stove is exactly across from my sink. How does one counteract that? Also, mirrored closet doors reflect everything, including the bed. I was thinking about hanging a beautiful sheer curtain to cover mine without being too heavy, rather than drapes (and maybe the closet doors would look more like a window). Looking forward to all your videos!

I love the idea of placing sheer panels over your mirrors, easy cost effective way to solve the bed reflection issue 👍🏻 For the stove/ sink problem, try placing something in silver metal between the two, like a decorative vase or something stainless steel. Hope that helps!

I would forward this super useful video to my landlord but I know that he is not going to care :) even though he should. I rent, and current rental used to be a Feng Shui nightmare. All Elements were completely out of balance, with most of them grossly suppressed by the Earth element (landlord's favorite). I told him this is going to cause a lot of problems, and he said that this system is a hoax. Well, the problems started with Fire Element (fire and explosion, as well as multiple electrical failures), then Water element (flooding and faucets stopping to work), then Air element (complete failure of a brand new AC system), and finally Wood element (trees rotting and dying, with some of them growing into the foundation of the house). Took me a lot of work to fix this mess. Feng Shui is certainly not a hoax and I would love to see more videos on this topic! Thank you so much for this one! ♥

@@JulieKhuu Thanks. Fortunately my home pretty much has all the feng shui boxes you mentioned ticked, probably besides the kitchen sink being north and the stove being south. I mean they are but in a side by side orientation, don't know if that counts, lol. I don't live in a tinny house but I've realized most are one room wide so a clear front to back line of sight exists in basically all of them with an end entrance even with obstructions.

I am a Feng Shui practitioner. Love your hair, your beautiful and your design style is impeccable. Keep up the good work. Depending on which Bagua style you're using, usually South is North and North is South when entering the house.

Thank you so much! 😊 My master and I used the compass direction for my home and laid the ba gua on top of it. Luckily it worked beautifully in my case, but I understand some homes just aren’t as simple to dictate. Which is why so many ppl get confused- as I did in the beginning with Feng Shui!

Just found you. Thanks for the tips. We live in an apartment which has a weird layout and I'm about to redesign the whole thing. Mirrors coming out of the bedroom and being put in the dining room. Toilet seats down and doors closed, except for the bathroom with the catbox but I'll put a mirror on the outside of the door that exits into the hallway (side, not end) so it reflects the energy back into the house and not down the drain. I'm getting double rod curtains to obscure the wall of windows which is directly across from the apartment entry door and I'll be trying out furniture and plant placement. I'm excited to get started! My cousin married a Vietnamese girl and she told me it took them a long time to find a nice house without stairs facing the door; goes against feng shui. Feng Shui is real. I have read a few books and it is amazing info. I painted my door red. I had relatives that lived across from a cemetery so every time the door opened they were facing the graveyard. Through out the years there was a lot of strife and deaths in the household. I knew before reading up on feng shui that I didn't want to look out daily at a cemetery. Aslo I had my headboard on the wall with my bathroom and that's not good laying your head next to water I could be inaccurate but it's what I remember. Help me out. Thanks for all that you do.
