im a shop manager now but i used to be a mechanic. I retired my old streamlight stinger after hanging up my wrenches as my camp light. I received a LD30 as a Christmas gift from one of my clients. Great light, the included holster is a great addition. It's small and strong enough at work whenever I need to show clients quick things on their car, checking out a car personally and whatever other things you would need a quality flashlight around a mechanic shop. With that being said, make sure you turn that little guy off before returning it to the holster, it'll melt the nylon fabric easily as I did with mine. I own several Stingers, used to have a first gen Olight R40 (lost it during a test drive, great light!), have some coast penlights, and am a HUGE fan of Nebo lights and own several...But this, this is my everyday carry...right next to my trusty pocket knife.

I use in my security job here in Europe a LD30 or a PD36 TAC, I couldn't say which is better. The PD36 T is more powerful with bigger battery but I love the compact size of my LD30 and it's equally effective because it has mode memory and 1600 lumens with momentary on click to check dark corners is more than enough. For safety the strobe is also quick available, not in the same key which is a pity but also fast depending on how you grab the flashlight if you use your little finger to activate it.

Impressive lineup. I own the pd35 2014 version never failed and works as day one, I recently purchased the Pd36r and I’m happy with the battery life, and balance of wide spill and long throw, sadly there’s no direct access to turbo & strobe and no tail stand. My dream flashlight is a future pd36r tac with direct access to turbo and strobe, and the possibility of tail standing and a neutral white led diode.

i'll vouch for the LD30. best flashlight i've ever owned. i use cr123a batteries in it. made a battery sleeve out of a couple inch section of a old 700c bicycle inner tube. perfect fit.

Thank you so much for your comment! The LD30 has been immensely popular since its release. 1600 lumens in such a small package is pretty awesome!

@@FenixStoreOfficial the E35V3.0, if rechargeable, would be the holy grail of small, bright lights 😊 I love that light

Please merge the LD30 and E30R features into one light. That would be the perfect light for me. PUT THE TAILCAP SWITCH BACK ON YOUR LIGHTS!!!

Yeah, that's what's making me hesitant on buying their lights. I mean, I can deal with it but I don't wanna have to carry a back up light with a lower mode just cause the Fenix flashlight's low mode is too bright.

None of these new lights will do a tail stand and these tail buttons get pushed way to easy in your pocket or in a backpack. And this magnetic charging, you have to have a preparatory cable just for their light. Why not make them all USB-C so you can use the same cable at home, in your car, at work, ect. that works on your phone.

This is a copy paste job of my own comment I made else where. Hodefully Fenix will catch wind of this idea I feel more flashlights should have as an option; unless it's been considered, and ignored for reasons. It would be a super amazing feature in my, and I'm sure other peoples opinion. I did edit a bit since the original post: "Something I think Fenix or really any flashlight maker should start doing is change the cycle button to click up, and click down the modes with a duel click style switch. Cycling every time can get annoying, and stress the battery over time also effecting runtime's; for X amount of seconds the highest settings get cycled to get back to the lower ones. Seriously... I duel click button that allows modes to be changed up or down on the fly without fully cycling every time would be amazing. Please do this Fenix."

Our TK72R and PD40R both have a feature like this. The TK72R has a plus and minus that shifts the lumens from 100 up to 9000 in sets of 100. The PD40R has a rotating switch that lets you cycle up and down through the modes.
