I love how this shows how well Clark knows Lois, her actual likes and dislikes and how they're not turn offs for him. It's basically reinforcing why he's such a good match for her, and again reiterates the message of neither having to hide who they truly are from the other.

This is a good clip to see the two sides of Clark. Most of the time Clark's entire personality consists of him acting wise and responsible or what he wants. His entire motivations consists of 'I must do this because its the right thing to do' or 'I want to play football, I want to be with Lana, I want to be a normal boy.' He's very well mild mannered all of these times. He kind of sheds that I want side when he leaves school and goes full responsibility. Especially at the end of season 8 when the only human thing he did was feed Shelby. He only came back so he could get hold of Lois's memories. In the beginning of this scene we see Clark acting all responsible and think the morning show he accidentally became a part of is just a distraction from finding the Kendorians, his responsible motivations perking up. Yet he's going through with the morning show assignment anyway for Lois's sake. When Clark is with Lois, he's not putting up a cover, he's actually acting like a normal person. Clark might think civilian life is a cover, but it's actually what he's always wanted (to be normal) and its who he really is. His responsible side is also who he is, but it also boring and flat side of Clark's personality. He is an interesting person around Lois.

He didn’t come back for her memories. He didn’t know about those memories till 9x09.

He came back because seeing Lois again reminded him of his love for her and also made him realize that he should get back to his double-life

Yo creo que Clark al final de la escena se frustra porque no sabe como llegar a ella y decirle lo que realmente siente. Por eso al final del capítulo, cuando por fin gracias a Chloe se anima a decirle a Lois lo que siente y Lois ni lo deja hablar, lo único que se le ocurre hacer es besarla.
