Yep, sometimes you just want to “eat everything in sight”. 😀. Absolutely! I]where I live in central Oregon is gets hot in July and August. Usually between 85-95 F. It is a very dry heat though so in the shade it’s about 10 degrees cooler. Love the dry heat!

I understand the adjustment to the heat. I was born and raised in Kent, England, we moved to Houston Texas when I was 15. It is HOTTTT here from end of May all the way through October. And it definitely gets into the triple digits. Houston is very humid though, I prefer dry heat but either way, it's like an oven! Took us a good 2 years + to really acclimate to the weather. But, if I had your pool, I would be in it all the time!! 😄

Wow! That’s hot! 🥵 Good to know it’s not just us & we’ll get used to it! July/Aug are scorching months! I should really make more use of the pool! 🤦🏼♀️ I’ve never been a water babe! 🙃💦

@@fernibops yes you'll definitely adjust! Thank God for AC though😄 I'm telling you, that pool of yours looks like heaven, and I bet you and the kiddos would have tons of fun😊 Anyway, I just love your videos, and truly enjoy watching them. You guys are such a sweet family, and so entertaining amd just REAL. It's nice to see other expats (I miss England so much!). Thank you for even replying to my comment, it's nice and truly shows you care and value your audience (it seems quite rare that an influencer actually responds to comments, especially as they gain a bigger audience). Those are cicadas and they’re making that sound. They shed their “skin” and leave it. As kids we would collect them. We were told that if you make a wish a squish them your wish comes true. Summers in Oklahoma are just so fun. Except for the heat! Ughhhh we’re goin into a heat wave this week and I’m not here for it!
@nadinetasmania3 жыл бұрын
They sure are and I have actually never seen a live one - heard them - found skins when I lived in Sydney.So, I could have made a wish? They freaked me out - THAT is in the garden? LOL Now, I miss them - have not heard them in Tasmania. So wonderful to hear them in Fern's vlog! Cheers!

(Moira Ashton), That was a lovely vlog Fern, Poor Ryan getting a puncture! Our area is well known for cyclists- two went past yesterday and one passed out, it's best not to cycle in 38 degrees heat!! He got taken off in an ambulance-- probably suffering from heat exhaustion and dehydration 😔😔 How lovely you found the old outer cases of the Cicadas!!! Yes with this heat- it is a good idea to have a siester, (I don't know the name for it in France) Take care all of you- and KEEP COOL - 🥰😍🤩💗💗💗💗

What a lovely vlog:) I have spent the last week in Antibes, it’s a shame I haven’t seen you there! I encountered the same problem with private beaches... but I think you have to go to the other side of the Cap. My favourite (very little though) is this one: Plage à faire goo.gl/maps/Leg1a69MVEozZcHC6 (also there is a small parking which is free from 7 or 8 pm on). Very few people come there to enjoy the sunset with a bottle of rosé and some snacks. Also, the ship at 25:10 is the biggest sailing boat in the world apparently, owned by a Russian billionaire (last year I saw it, too) :)
