I love long vlogs because I work from home and watch planty youtube all day. (And I watch the vlog channels of any plant creator that I've been following for a while especially if I like the vibe.) Yours is definitely one of my favorites for vlogs. I like the casual, homey feel of them and I enjoy hearing about what everyone else is reading too as well as planty content. And if I don't finish a vlog before it's time to clock out I just pick right back up the next day.

I've been loving lavender tea lately. A friend turned me onto this, infusing the tea to make a lavender simple syrup and then adding a bit to a light lemonade. It's such a refreshing drink. My favorite lately is adding it to vitaman water zero sugar lemonade as it's more subtle so nothing's too sweet. Sorry for the ramble but that's my drink obsession this season. 😂

Oh you should check out Iris Origo’s book War in Val d’Orcia (written from her journals on her experience as a female landowner in the Italian countryside during World War II). It’s one of the best books I’ve read. She was a writer and British aristocrat who married an Italian landowner with many farms in the countryside of the Tuscan region. When war broke out they took they left city life in Florence to protect their land, workers, and their family out in the country. They hid people and fed other families, saved many lives, and had many exciting and terrifying things happen along the way. It’s so well-written and a page-turner!

You’re the first person I have watched a “vlog”. I am really only interested in WildFern channel to watch your plant journey. So, I am not sure if I can answer your question. :). I love your long planty videos though. I noticed on my planty channel I get the feeling that people get disinterested based off the “analysis”, which sometimes I think that doesn’t make sense because most of the real plant lovers out there love longer ones. I think my longest is 31 minutes 😂 maybe it’s just me as a new KZbin channel, I am trying though your a great example. ❤ I just bought $80 of Mooncats polish! I really love the long videos (I'm with you - the longer the better!). I normally settle in for lunch or at the end of the day after work to watch and use the vlogs to chill out. Also I'm on your patreon and main channel too. I love the chilled out vibes and you inspire me with the plants, reading and I loooooove watching your little house upgrades. I use to pretty much travel full time but moved one year ago into my first real apartment. I moved into an unfurnished 2 bedroom with nothing but 2 suitcases (mostly clothes!) to my name. I only what to fill my house with things I love and hold meaning to me. So it's been very slow going but super fun upgrading my spaces. So I definitely would love to continue seeing more home projects (even if they're only small scale things!)

I've only read a couple books by Kristin Hannah, I think most of hers are historical fiction 🤔 But I ABSOLUTELY LOVE The Nightingale. An easy 5/5 for me, it's set during WWII, but I think it is one you would love. I've also heard the Great Alone is amazing too! Btw, I didn't vote on your vlog time, but that's because I'm like you, sometime I watch them in pieces when they're long to savor the vlog ❤ I didn't know if that was a bad thing to do on KZbin videos for the creator? Dear Fern! I have always loved to read. There were times I read 3 books a week but lately I felt disappointed by new books, they all felt the same. I really tried to like Fourth Wing in November/ December but I couldn’t force myself to read more than the first third and I haven’t touched a book since then. I really like to see genuine (!) recommendations from people that are passionate about books, so I don’t watch book tube or booktok or whatever, that just feels fake to me. So long story short: you mentioned Project Hail Mary in your Vlog (I watched it yesterday) and it seemed interesting to me. I downloaded it and read 60% during the last night 😅 So happy to find a new good read again. So thank you so much for just mentioning and showing the book, I’m really enjoying it!
