Ferrari 308 and Porsche 914-6 Share the Same Calipers? Re-plating, Re-Build and Re-install

From Italy to Germany. Watch as Eric at PMB rebuilds my Ferrari 308 calipers (which are basically the same as Porsche 914-6 ones). My favorite part is the plating which gives them the gold color. I install these works of art back on the car and set the venting clearance as well. Enjoy!

Which mid-Engine is more fun to drive?

Great question. They both have really fun characteristics. The Ferrari is much more visceral...it takes over all of your senses. You can't drive it casually. The 914 is more nimble and precise. The 308 is like a sharpie. The 914 is like a razor point pen ;)

Ian, just got my calipers back from PMB the other day. The timing of this video couldn't have been any better for me. Question: Do the 914-4s also have these spacers for mounting the calipers?

Hi Fred. I haven't seen spacers on a 914 setup...but I supposed they could be used if the calipers were off-center. My bumblebee calipers should be back from PMB in a few weeks and I'll definitely have a video on those...

@@IanKarr - I've got more "issues" than I can deal with right now on my 914. Just stripped an engine hood bolt and my A/C evaporator (from custom air) doesn't fit b/w the dash and my A/C center console. I really need the caliper installation to go smooth this weekend. Oh, and thanks for another great video. Enjoyed seeing you and Eric in action.
