You can drive your McLaren P1s or your Porsche GT2RS and feel macho but you'll never beat this in terms of style and class.

My father had a 308 GTS Q.V. and it was the most terrifying, and yet wonderful car to learn stick shift on. Since his passing and selling of the car, I still love to hear the roar of that engine. Thanks for posting!

They're definitely a lot of fun and experiencing a gated shifter like that while learning stick would've been heaven! Glad that you enjoyed the video and soon I'll have the 488GTB video up!

Great vid of a first drive. It's not a modern hypercar, but love seeing someone "get" the 308QV factor. Cheers. :)

Nice video! We have an '85 Euro as well. They do take a little getting used to, but that happens fast. They are super fun! You do need to roll them up a bit as you found but the sound they make is great! Very different than the P-cars of that era. Thanks for the drive!

Thank you. They sure are a pleasure to drive and very exciting once you start pushing them a bit more :) I'll be doing a video on the 488GTB soon, should be out by the end of Feb!

@@TalkTheTorque Thats actually a very special Volvo, the Young bloke who built it (Andy) did a very good job and isnt done yet lol

tony66au May be a good build, I just found it amusing a Volvo wagon wanting to drag. Not the usual suspect. what type of work has he done to it? Sounded like a boxer engine!

@@TalkTheTorque Just your run of the mill AWD 5 cyl turbo Whiteblock but with all the right goodies, a wicked tune Volvo ECU and a 6 speed. Really well done for an Apprentice considering what the car was when I drove it before he bought it. XC70 Cross Cu*ty and yep theres a lot of self deprecating humour in the Volvo world and brutal Wagons are the funniest IMO. I'll get Andy to drop you a line if you want to know more, Good bloke, Great kid.
