Before lockdown, I knew very little about Ferrari cars. 7 weeks in, and via links from one youtube channel to another, I've watched all 28 on the 308 today, and am fighting the urge to start accumulating tools. Thanks for the educational entertainment!

I didnt even work in these conditions when I was 18 and had no money. Appreciate his enthusiasm but...a) why didnt you get a nice plate surround and use the existing holes b) is that plate even legal? c) warm the engine but go have lunch ie leave it fo an hour to drain down. If you are going to do lots of this stuff, get your self a car lift like this www.matthys.net/en/portable-scissor-car-lift-with-electric-release-capacity-2-7-ton-6793588 The main benefit is safety ie if your car slips, you are trapped and alone...you are fu**ed. And you will be able to use a socket at 90 deg to the plug with two hands....On a positive, my colleague thanks you for the service parts code for his 308 :-)

The old oil looked pretty clean! Also, a great tip I saw on another KZbin channel was to use a hand pump to fill the transmission oil rather than long funnels etc. I got one called Lubrimatic fluid pump. Similar to a pump pack on a hand wash bottle. You just stick it in the oil bottle and pump away from below. So much easier.

Those pumps are great. Used one on my DMC transaxle service. Means you can just buy one large can of oil as well.👍

There's a paradox about your channel that is puzzling, but delightful. Your accent and voice, though entertaining, is difficult to follow to a Texan in the US. However, the closed-caption on the videos you post is the best I have ever seen. Most channels use the automatic closed caption software, which is comically inaccurate most of the time, but yours is spot on. Thanks for that! 😁

If there is a market for a company that sells aftermarket inspection kits for Ferraris, there must be quite a lot of Ferrari owners out there that do the service on their own. I really did not expect that. Thanks for the free shipping code, but my 1:18 scale Ferraris hardly ever get driven these days...

I was happy to see you using MTL in the gearbox/diff. Seems to be a highly controversial topic as what to use. I put it in the box on my 87 Mondial, but found I had to add a couple of ounces of LSD additive to keep the diff quiet on hard cornering.

Tricky one to answer chuck. Depends really on the type of era ferrari you prefer. The newer cars contain more and more computers that make it difficult. The older ones like this 308 are quite easy to work on or the cars of 15-20 years ago such as the 360-355-430 are all more useable and still good for doing diy jobs on
