Hello @Ratarossa,the fuel metering units are similar to Ford escort rs turbo,XR3i and Capri 2.8i,I’ve had a company restore these for me in the past called KMI based in Bedfordshire and they’re brilliant,as far as I’m aware they’re the only specialist that can restore these Bosch fuel metering units,hope it helps and good luck with the build👍

I've brought a few of those type of fuel distributors on mk1 golf convertibles here in The States by running a fuel system cleaner product called "Sea Foam" through them. I'd say to see if you could rig up the factory fuel pumps and hoses and banjo fittings etc and pump a large quantity of fuel system cleaner through them for a spell. I wager they would clean right up and work like new
