Per Josh’s comment on the 430 sound in the building being blah and then appreciating the sound at higher revs outside, the Forza exhaust controller fixes this and is a must for a 430; available through NGS of course! More torture test or what happens if experiment videos might get more clicks. 🤔 This was excellent. Cheers 🍻

Yes! At an absolute minimum, do the Forza controller.

The launch sounds like a rally car, I like it. To be fair though, given the right situation (equal traction, equal torque to the wheels) an open diff *will* spin both wheels no problem.

What is the advantage of disabling the e-diff? Does the normal function of the e-diff vector torque to the side with more traction?
@normalguysupercar9 ай бұрын
It doesn't vector the torque as far as I know. The advantage of disabling it is less possible failure points.

The burnout would work A LOT better on smooth dark pavement, that will get you that burning rubber/smoke show. To much sand/gravel on that road in front of The Stubb.

Fantastic test and prove of the disabled E-DIFF, thank you so much guys for doing that! No doubt that with a disabled E-DIFF, all the power gets to the wheels without any weird locking. Best video ever made to prove that!

w/ out E diff it becomes crude DUMB mechanical LSD . It STILL has LSD ! do you NOT understand that ? WTF ! SCUD SWISS ! who the fuck are you to think you know better than the Ferrari engineers ? my point is it is foolish and potentially DANGEROUS to NOT use the e diff! I wonder how many have had accidents and or DIED using your bogus e -diff delete? it would make PI attorney salivate at the $$ he could make in a lawsuit ! ( well, we bet you can afford it , being a VERY successful businessman ) the Ediff is one of the BEST features of the car . CLEARLY you are NO enthusiast ! You are selling snake oil w/ your e -diff delete and doing NOTHING but making the car handle WORSE ! the test proved it ! SO, lets sum up , OK All good yea w/ out E diff it becomes crude DUMB mechanical LSD . my point is it is foolish and potentially DANGEROUS to NOT use the e diff! the Ediff is one of the best features of the car that's why our 14-year-old F430 can beat a new Corvette. Randy Probst, Pro racer , the Production car lap record holder at Laguna Seca said " the new c8 Corvette badly needs an E diff. Ferrari was way ahead of its time fitting it." 2005 ! !!!!! to disable it is the height of folly and ill-advised ! and YOUR ( Scud swiss) rationale is "it might fail " duh, well IF it does you get a warning and you GET IT FIXED ! REPAIRED ! ARE we supposed to disable OTHER things as they MIGHT fail ? what's next ? no cam variators ? power assist for brakes ? high beams ? windshield wipers ? see the point ? sadly scud swiss has established some credibility w/their other VERY good products I HAVE many of their products : the F-1 pump relay, the turn signal device , the brake light dongle ALL brilliant good products ! HOWEVER ! this e diff defeat is snake oil . TOTAL scaremongering to convince us to buy the device and fit it . The rationale for using it ? silly and potentially dangerous, deadly don't be hoodwinked by the guys who have drunk the kool-aid !
@jackdale92494 ай бұрын
THX again for a great video ! you could see the car was squirrely w/ out the e diff ! point is the e diff adds an extra element of control -It DOES work differently and BETTER w/ the e -diff . ON did you do your Demo BOTH ways ? W/e -diff AND W/ out ? NO , so did not run thru both experimental variables , ! SURELY, YOU HAVE AN EMPIRICAL BACKGROUND AND KNOW BETTER! and the point of the E diff is it is derived fr F-1 technology . As per Ferrari ,the car will lap faster w/ it than without ! ( AND W/ GREATER SAFETY AND CONTROL) so WHY are we going to disconnect it ? EXPLAIN PLEASE? reminds me of the age old question why does a dog lick it's bollocks ? - because it CAN ! WHO CARES ABOUT BURNOUTS ? As per Ferrari ! "The E-Diff is now standard equipment on the F430 - the first time that a production car has been equipped with such a sophisticated system for high-performance road-holding. On the track, the E-Diff guarantees maximum grip out of bends, eliminating wheel spin. On the road it is a formidable technological refinement that improves road-holding. This system is available both on the F1-paddle shift version as well as on the manual gearbox model and consists of three main subsystems: a high-pressure hydraulic system, shared with the F1 gearbox (if present); a control system consisting of a valve, sensors, and electronic control unit; a mechanical unit housed in the left side of the gearbox. Torque is continuously distributed between the wheels via two sets of friction discs (one for each driveshaft) controlled by a hydraulic actuator. The amount of torque actually transmitted to the driven wheels depends on driving conditions (accelerator pedal angle, steering angle, yaw acceleration, individual wheel rotation speed) and brings considerable advantages in terms of performance, direction stability, active safety and handling feedback. Again, F1 racing was a vital testbench that enabled Ferraris engineers to develop a highly sophisticated system that perfectly matches the requirements of a road car designed to reach over 315 km/h and generate considerable cornering forces. The electronic differential actively helps reduce Fiorano lap times by 3 seconds compared to the 360 Modena. For the driver, the E-Diff increases handling balance and grip (which noticeably improves acceleration), improves road-holding on the limit and also guarantees even better steering feel. " as per chat GTP ! why shouldn't you use a device to disable the Ferrari E-differential ?> ChatGPT : "Disabling the electronic differential (E-differential) in a Ferrari can be potentially dangerous and is not recommended. Here are a few reasons why: Increased risk of loss of control: The E-differential is an important safety feature that helps to improve traction and stability by controlling the distribution of torque between the rear wheels. Disabling this feature can increase the risk of loss of control, especially during hard acceleration or when cornering. Increased stress on the drivetrain: The E-differential also helps to reduce stress on the drivetrain by distributing torque between the wheels. Disabling this feature can cause uneven torque distribution, which can lead to increased stress on the drivetrain and potentially cause damage to the transmission or other components." Chris Cooper brilliant engineer, ( does consultant and development work for Ferrari et all major exotic car Mfrs. and owner of a F430 said : "+Disabling the E-diff is like turning up for a marathon race in safety boots." " ( LOL NOT being one of those guys, know it all know nothings on FC ) we cite senior researchers . sources . )
