32 250 GTOs were originally built with the Series 1 1962 body style, 1 (#4713GT) was in LMB style, 3 in 1964 Series 2 style. 4 of the original Series 1 250 GTOs were then converted to Series 2 1964 style by Ferrari/Scaglietti leaving 28 in Series 1 1962 style, 1 LMB style and 7 in Series 2 1964 style. 2 330, 4 litre engined cars were built with the 250 GTO Series 1 1962 style body.

Didn't the owner of the Atlanta Ferrari dealership in the 60's put a 330 in a 250 GTO body or was that one of the 4 litre cars. I used to walk across the freeway to the Varsity, grab my daily chili dog and walk over to the showroom and put my nose up to the window and stare at the two GTOs he had in the window for hours.

Y'all probably wouldn't believe this but I saw one of these at a Steak N' Shake. I was a huge Ferrari nerd when I was a teenager and I was wearing my Ferrari T-shirt to lunch there, and a guy at the table next to us said "I like your shirt." We struck up a conversation and he takes us out to an enclosed trailer he was pulling (this Steak N' Shake was right by a highway). Lo and behold inside is a 250 GTO, 2 other Ferraris (probably other 250 variants, they looked to be from the 50's-60's range too) and an old Maserati sports racer from the same era, all were red. Crazy.

Here's a rule of thumb when it comes to cars if it has the original radio or no radio at all don't put some lame ass rock music filler in your video presentation of a classic car. Most want to hear the engine because that's the whole point of it.

This was because at that time Ferrari was the only cars factory that made marketing only with racing and not with advertising. The Ford ceo Henry Ford II understud this because he said: I every year have million dollars of advertising costs to sell my cars and this factory every mondey is on the sport news free by winning races. So he did an attempt to by Ferrari with a proposal that never colud be refused. But Enzo Ferrari gave up to the proposal. So Ford built the GT 40. Ferrari was enable to build a great number of 4.7 litres cars, because there was no market at that time. And the Ford GT 40 took the place of Ferrari 3 litres.
