I love reading through the 1960s road and track classifieds and seeing multiple ads for 250 testarossa's selling for $3200-4200. Great cars always make the greatest investments.👍

Lovely thing! Although built as 2-seaters to meet the current regulations, these cars were raced with a single occupant. The offset in the engine was actually to improve the room on the right side of the car for the driver and to balance the weight of the car more evenly across the axles. For those who don't know, they were all right-hand drive because almost all circuits have predominently right turns and the driver's weight would therefore balance some of the cornering force. I know it's an American accent thing, and it is quite cute, but the way you say 'Testa Rossa' actually means 'Pink Head' (testa rosa) in Italian. Always makes me smile.

One of THE MOST BEAUTIFUL cars ever designed and built it just is incredible from any angle...what a build! The knowledge and information that Colleen Sheehan explains is absolutely on point she reminds me of Chris Harris with the specific details and little details that most of us do not even know Thank you James Allington for financing and building this work of art (an “affordable” “drivable” Testarossa if that’s even something that can be said) thank you for sharing this!

Gorgeous! And I love Testarosas too! When the other kids had posters of Countachs and 308s on their bedroom walls, I had a poster of one of these and a '62 250 GTO on mine. I got to see 2 GTOs and a Testarosa in person at a NYC auto show in the 80s. I was hooked on both ever since.

It like the originals authentic Ferrari's were hand made. Thanks for sharing a lovely example of automotive history. Great Presentation 👦🏻👍🏻🏎🏁

"This particular car in the video is a replica, built to the highest standards of any replica on the planet. Other lesser replicas can be easily spotted by simply looking to see if the engine is centered or not, whereas this car copies every aspect of the original including the engine placement." Spoiler: 9:48 But this particular car has a modern Denso style alternator that is visible as soon as the bonnet (US: "hood") is opened ! Not exactly "copied down to the very last detail."

its not so much the money as the history that might get wrecked that I think keeps these off the roads, like you consider how bad modern traffic is, and how little driving roads we have left, and its kind of understandable that someone doesnt want to use it anywhere but the mile amilia, that being said Nick Mason and one of the Pontoon fender cars owner do drive it however I know as I actually spoke to him when he was kind of going damn it I could have gone for the GTO as he had the chance to buy one in the 70's, while my mentality was no this is way cooler, its a drop top, its got all that racing history and no movie quite like Ford VS ferrari showed off quite how outdated the 250 GTO became in such a short time span, as they were having CGI ones as the background cars that the p4 and the Ford GT were dusting like nobodies buisness and that was just 2 years AFTER the GTO came out, the testarossa though had a good 5,6 years and looked way better and was just a way more unique car, that being said after seeing and hearing one of the original 250 GTO owners first hand accounts of it, where it was lite, quick and easy to drive, vs say an XKSS that is notchy, kinda stiff and not that good I now understand why that car is worth 80 mill now, and it actually kinda raced against an XKSS with a breadvan in the california back roads at one point which would be the second time steve mcqueen was dusted by a ferrari, one in his XKSS, the other in a porsche powerd dune buggy that went against a distinct white with red accents ferrari daytona spider in a drag race as he was wondering why on earth a dune buggy could keep up till he saw the engine and who was driving lol
