Thank you for a lovely visit to the Christmas Market with you and Wendy. It brought back memories of a Christmas marked at Castle Howard I visited last year in November - it was a beautiful sunny and very cold day, and such a joy to be there and in beautiful York at Christmas time. What a lovely day out with your Sis. The market reminds me of the Harvest Festivals I used to take my children to. I always had them chose one gift for themselves at the market to put under the Christmas tree. That way I was sure of them having at least one gift they truly liked. It was always such fun, but very busy too. Seeing all of the vendors and their delightful things, just brought it all back to me. It seems like it was only yesterday. Thank you so much Marion, and Wendy too, for sharing your special times with us. 😊❤

You did a great job with the voice over. When you mentioned leftover pastry it reminded me of my Mom. She would always make us Pinwheels when she had leftover pie crust. She would roll it out and sprinkle it with cinnamon and sugar. Roll it lengthwise and cut it into disks. Then baked to a golden brown. We loved them as little kids 🥰

I still make what my Mam always made. We call it sly cake. Roll the leftover pastry out. Cover half in dried fruit, brown sugar and dot it with butter. Fold the other half over and crimp together. Milk and sugar on top and bake till golden. I still love it. And no wasted pastry..,😊

Thank you Marion for your video and taking us with you to the Christmas market. The voiceover was great and so helpful when it's really busy. I shall be ordering a lovely mug from Jenny blue. It's so wonderful to have these artisan markets you find many beautiful treasures from local makers. We seem to have lost a lot of these events in our area since lockdown. We used to have a Dickension market evening with hog roast ,mulled wine and the high street was closed to traffic. Shops were open till 9pm and there was stalls galore of local produce.All gone,really sad.

That looked like a lovely Xmas fayre at Raby, I didn’t know it was on but I was busy with my own stall on Saturday. I’m going to make some singing hinnys from yesterday’s video. Of course I know them but south of the river we don’t call them hinnys but my nanna did cut them the same in triangles x❤❤
