I like putting systainers on top of the vacuum, to rest the saw on. That way you don't have to lower and lift your saw very much. I also have a wooden tray wit 5cm high sides, which locks into the systainer. I don't like the idea of somebady snagging the hose and pulling the saw down.

Thanks Nico. That's a great idea, especially for taller people. Nice.

that flat top makes the investment worthwhile.I will buy this just to store things on top

It's definitely a practical feature. I've used the larger extractors and the lack of a flat top can be really irritating.

2 mins to explain what a flat surface is handy for.

True that…but a useful 2min I reckon. 😀 I appreciate the view, and the comment. Thanks for stopping by.

Just put a Sys Sort on it and mount a big wooden plate on top... That way, its a small mobile workshop with dust collection and ability to clamp down your guide rail.

That's a fantastic idea. Hadn't thought of that. Must give it a try.

I have midi1 and got a midi2 . Prefer the old one: knob switches ,don't have to bend over and look to find on off. Top handle on midi2= floppy lid . Midi1 better hose space.

Yes, I prefer manual switches to ‘touch type’ switches. Never used a midi 1 so I can’t appreciate the difference. Sounds like a good unit.

The blower outlet comes very handy to

Very cool. That’s another reason why I decided on the MIDI over the CT-26. For a small unit it’s packed with features.

Really thought this video was going to show a hidden feature where the vacuum can programme or play MIDI tracks. Regardless, your video was still great :)

Now that would have been a fun video to make. Why didn't I think of that? Thanks for your comment, Adam. Have a great day.

I thought you were going to point out that this model for some reason seems to be the only one that has the thumping lever to clean out the filter that I find very very useful. why is this not incorporated in the other models I know there are auto cleans versions, but the ct 26 has nothing.

Thanks for the comment. Actually, you raise a good point. That's a great feature. I was using a mini the other day and it doesn't have that feature, and I found that rather irritating. 😀

Agree, nice to have a flat surface to place a tool
@ColinKlupiec2 ай бұрын
I use that flat surface all the time. It's almost become a reflex action to put the saw down on that space. 😀

I have the exact same vac/saw as you, and I also utilize the top to place my saw between cuts.

It's a great feature, isn't it. I use it all the time. Have a great day.

It’s flat because of the systainers. If you put the track saw systainer, it’s perfect fit
@ColinKlupiec2 жыл бұрын
Yes, that’s true. And the open hose garages on the larger models also allow systainers to be connected. I love the fact that the MIDI gives you both. Thanks for your comment. Have a great day.

Does this auto start and stop with a corded saw?
@ColinKlupiec Жыл бұрын
Yes it does. I also use it with my Ryobi router and Makita and Festool corded sanders. I’ve had the 26Land 36L models as well, but I like this one the best. So much to like about this dust extractor.
