Enjoyed your tour of Beaufort. I live on the river about 8 miles south of there so it is like a home town. The fishing vessel you asked about in Charleston Harbor is a Shrimp Trawler. I owned and Captained one similar to it for about 15yrs. Shem Creek, just up the shore from where you entered the ICW leaving the Harbor, is the home of one of the largest shrimp fleets still remaining on the SC Coast. You and 1st Mate Wavey have a safe voyage!

Really enjoying this series! The American Wind Symphony Orchestra is actually a symphony from a boat. They traveled around the US, Caribbean and Europe for 53 years, starting in 1957 (or so it says on their website). One of those unique sightings on the water! 😁

Hiya Brenton! Old viewer here. Yes, Dixie is not forgotten, but on the other hand those that remember are fading fast. The last couple of generations have near zero connection. But, being one that does still feel it I have to thank you. I have found that it is a fact that yankees fall into two camps. Those who love the south. Those who hate the south. It's always been that way. West guys generally don't care much one way or the other. It was a pleasure, not kidding, watching you appreciate what you were seeing. Like I said, these days you'd be hard pressed to find two southern borns that would give it more than a glance. History is cool wherever you find it, isn't it? Your bestest fans in Alabam, Norm and Vicky

It’s a shame that you didn’t get to stop in Charleston and take a walk on the water front and beyond it’s amazing and beautiful. Yes there are a lot of reminders of all wars in the South not just the civil war we put a of respect into all of our heroes of all wars. This being the heart of the Bible Belt. Great episode thanks for taking us along. Pet the brat for me. I just ordered my new 60hp Tahatso for my SB build as soon as it cools off the cabin will be stood up and I can get serious chomping at the bit to see progress 👍

We spent about some weeks in an RV park south of Charleston. We took tours, visited historic sites, ate in a few excellent restaurants. We weren't under the same time constraints as you were, and we had an income at the time, so we were able to do this on our way from NY to FL. A highly recommended city.

Great video love seeing the historical places. I also prefer the wavey style tour that formal one looked to peopley lol. On the bad wire you probably have already fixed it but places it could rub you need a piece of industrial type inner tube to wrap it in. Many tire shops that service forestry and industrial would a good spot to find them they are thicker than normal. Keep on keeping on.

think about getting a garmin etrex 22x not overly expensive but great for off boat navigation and a backup for your boat nav. Then your phone can stay out of the weather. Bonus you get historical data of where you traveled and can route backwards.

The American Wind Symphony Orchestra (AWSO) is known for its unique floating concert stage, Point Counterpoint II. This vessel, designed by the renowned architect Louis I. Kahn, is 195 feet long and 38 feet wide1. The AWSO has been performing on waterways across the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, and northern Europe for over 58 years23. The orchestra’s mission is to bring music and cultural experiences to various communities, often performing in places that are not typically visited by major orchestras2. The floating stage allows them to travel and perform in diverse locations, making classical music more accessible to a wider audience
