LOVE IT i like they way that you DID NOT have the garlic chopped.... and removed them out soon after no garlic flavor left inside. I prepared my meal exactly with your receipe but just add white wine soon when i dropped shrimps into the hot pan. Also i cooked chicken on the side and add them on. Tasted great... Thanks for sharing...

“Fettuccine alfredo are not a thing in Italy,” But in the US it has become a staple in many restaurants that brand themselves Italian. In Italy, the dish is most similar to what Italians call pasta burro e parmiggiano (pasta with butter and parmesan cheese). The even more popular way of serving pasta alfredo in the US - with chicken - is beyond imaginable. It is not just poultry and pasta that are not allowed to mix - meat and pasta very rarely make it on to the same plate. Pasta is one course (primo) and meat is another, fully separate course (secondo).

It always happen in Countries with no history&culture ! They need to steal from the others and change since they don't have an identity themselves... consequently no pride and the impossibility to understand the others ... You have it in restaurants called Italians Rest. in YOUR Country!!! Definitely NOT in Italy!!! Was it that hard to understand???

It's incredible how the most famous Italian dishes among non-Italians TOTALLY don't exist in Italy. Stuff no restaurant within our borders has ever served (maybe the most "tourist-oriented"), not to mention the fact that no one knows even what an "Alfredo sauce" consists of. Please note I'm not attacking this or other recipes (I'm not disgusted by the idea of "violating" traditional recipes), but I'm simply entertained by the totally distorted (and often creative) perception that foreigners have of Italian kitchen. Also, while writing this comment I overcooked my pasta: trauma.

@susan82827 жыл бұрын
I've made a recipe similar to this one and it too called for some lemon juice and zest at the end, only not as much. I accidentally put too much lemon juice one time and it did have a sour taste. Though, when used the right amount, it tastes amazing, it gives the sauce a little something.

Flat noodles have a high likelihood of sticking together because surface area. Round noodles meet at a point. Draw 2 circles touching to see that. Flat noodles contact over a much greater area, therefore greater chance of sticking together.

mssilviacostanzo well that's interesting... however I like to think that all kinds of food has and will forever keep evolving, other wise it would be so boring to keep eating the same things over and over... I am sure that "fettuccine alfredo" was created by an Italian Mom who one day though "what can I feed my family tonight?" and that's how I would like to think it was created. =)
