FEX - Subways of Your Mind (Live @ NDR 1 Welle Nord, 07-11-2024)

Kiel-based band FEX performing an acoustic version of their song "Subways of Your Mind" live on NDR 1.
Back in the 80s when the band was active, their agency sent a demo of the song to NDR (unbeknownst to the band). It was then played on NDR 1, and recorded onto cassette by German teenager Darius S.
He was not able to identify the song, and many years later in 2007, his sister Lydia started posting the song online, asking users if they perhaps knew the artist behind this song. The song was then reposted again in 2019 by Gabriel Vieira, this time going viral and leading to thousands of people searching for the song, which was now known as "The Most Mysterious Song On The Internet"
Many dead leads & false claims later, the mystery was eventually solved by Reddit user marijn1412, who was contacting possible leads, and ended up contacting Michael Hädrich, who was the keyboardist in the band FEX. Hädrich then sent back several of their old songs, and as it turned out, their song "Subways of Your Mind" was in fact the song that Darius S. and thousands of others had been looking for, for many years.
FEX then reunited to play an acoustic version of their song live on NDR 1, the very station that played their song all those years ago.
