I forgot to mention at 3:58, but the capstone also gives passively +2 Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma and +2 Illusion DCs. Which is a pretty awesome passive bonus in addition to the active ability.

I was thinking of Bard using CHA to hit and Damage, Shield Spell, and the Shadow Blades. This may give me a reason to try a Bard again.

Finally I can build attack/damage charisma based bard and paladin without Purple Dragon Knight and +1 lesser reincarnation heart.

Seems like the only reason to take points in this, I can't imagine why else anyone would use it tbh, the rest of the tree is massively underwhelming.

Just go to a damn training dummy or a quest and show what everything does don’t just describe what the do without showing how it impacts raids/quests as a new class

That distraction spell is really inventive and unexpected for the devs to put in game. I think its neet if it works

This tree really does make you feel like a magician.

I'm conflicted about this tree. Illusion is one of the most under represented schools in the game. Feydark Illusionist gives you offensive options to use with illusions, but unless you get Phantasmal Killer, those abilities will be the only things benefiting. Feydark Illusionist gives you the ability to deal damage with weapons as a caster, but Eldritch Knight and other trees give you the ability to do that too. I love this tree aesthetically though, and it's cool how it incorporates so many mechanics of PNP that were never translated to DDO. It's certainly not a bad tree (at least from what I can tell), but it promotes a specific playstyle that demands investment to take advantage of.

Spellbook-wise illusion should have more spells. Mass fantasmal force and a few more offensive spells from 3.5 and 5th edition spells. Weird is a spell that can frighten a monster and do 4d10 force damage on a failed will save. I'm not sure why that one hasn't been added to the game. It's a pretty simple spell to add I would think.

Definitely, hopefully they add more in the spellbook.

this looks like it'd be fun with a rogue stealthing and using distract to lure people onto traps

the old color spray became greater color spray (the gnome one too). They added a new spell called color spray as wiz/sorc lv1. Greater makes enemies helpless, regular does not

Thanks for clarifying, I couldn't find an answer to this yesterday before recording.

Are those top tiers exclusive? Seems lame for level 33 stuff
@Skenjin4 жыл бұрын
I think it's called greater color spray cause they are adding a low level version that doesn't induce helplessness, whereas greater color spray does.

Thanks, I was looking around the forum for this and I couldn't find it.

Teen wolf/illusionist is pretty frickin lame. This game needs new ideas not stupid ones.
