If they can actually pull off faithly doing the highwind, the ocean diving and everything involved with them, with no cut corners this game is gonna be absurdly dope and massive.

@@exanyt Emerald Weapon is gonna be the real challenge to do. I think it's either gonna be an underwater facility dungeon that leads into the Emerald Weapon fight while indoors and you have to beat it before it floods the structure and kills you. Or I think it would be cool if they keep it the same as the OG game where you can run into him at any time. And if you do, there'll be a cutscene where he grabs the submarine and destroys it, but before he does Cloud and the gang grab diving suits so they contextualize fighting him out of the sub.

Highwind doesn’t have to land, a simple drop ladder mechanic would be fine. You could drop wherever on the map the highwind would stay in the air then if you are away from it you could call it like the buggy. Turn based air combat would be a great call back to OG as well.

You could press a button to toggle between Flying Mode and Landing Mode, then let you land almost anywhere, but have an indicator turn red wherever you can't land, like on the side of a mountain. Just look up how Ni No Kuni 2 does it.

Just a correction, on nibelheim Sephirot didn't find out Jenova was a space alien, he believed she was a cetra. And being born in Shinra and did their horrors all life, and how people who stopped traveling ruined the planet, he became a messiah intending on returning the planet to the cetra descent. And so he though he was the rightful heir. That's why he burns nibelheim, not because he snaps but because he is exacting a vengeance against all that is not cetra. Only when he falls in the lifestream he learns of Jenova true origins. And so he begins his plan to kill everything reset the world, absorb all lifestrem in him and sail to another rock on a meteor to repopulate. He believes that will save the world. So he is a hero in his thought

I figure you'll only be able to land the Highwind in specific spots like airports or certain big clearings. But I think it'd be cool if you could have a drop down rope ladder or something where the ship just hovers in the sky and you climb down to whatever location you're at.

Rebirth already has airstrips that can be used as landing spots.

Advent Children fight scenes is so good a korean pop star 1:1 copied Tifa's fight scene for her music video and later on got sued by Square Enix 😂
