Enemy skill is necessary for hardmode. Soothing breeze is a life saver in hard mode

does using magnify materia with time cause a reduced effect for that spell? does it reduce the amount of speed you get or the time it lasts on your characters?

It reduces the length of the buff, but it’s as potent when in effect. You can increase the duration by equipping certain weapon abilities and using equipment like the Malboro orb.

The auto cast petrify materia has ended fights so quickly for me. It's been nice

Normal mode doesn't really matter just make load characters up with materia to get it leveled up and prepared for hard mode. Still tons of grinding in end game but it helps keep it down.

Elemental materia pairing unfortunately doesn't give your weapon a dual bonus. It defaults to one

The best thing about the original was all the Materia and crazy combos. But for the remake the took out over 50 types. I think they missed up and should have kept all the Materia the same
