Out of curiosity, what has priority between All Lucky 7s forcing damage to be 7777 and Peerless/flashback Sephiroth forcing damage to be 0?

Before having watched the vid I will say that this will work, given that the 7777 HP check is one of the final checks to happen during the damage calculations, and will overwrite whatever the damage is prior to that stage. The % based damage formula happens right at the start of the calculations, so it should be that any enemy that hits Lucky 7s will always deal 7777 regardless of the type of damage it is; even fixed based damage such as 1000 Needles would do 7777 (if you were to mod the Cactuer's HP).

I'm pretty sure I've had a couple enemies wipe me out when I was younger with lucky 7s. I played a ton of ff7 when I was younger. Probably why I stack up on those hp plus materias due to unresolved trauma

I’d like to see it on emerald weapon using aire tam stomp. Normally it does damage based on the number of materia equipped, capped out at 9999 damage. Would be interesting to see a fully decked out party using wizard bracelets and their 8 slot weapons as well as seeing the party without any materia equipped to see if lucky 7s will override that.

i think its obvious it will, 7777 is an override, the fact it makes gravity based attacks deal a flat 7777, ANYTHING in the game becomes 7777, potions become a 7777 heal. Ethers heal 7777mp. Multi hit attacks like angermax all do 7777. now the question is. Does Peerless make 7777 hit 0 damage?

Game Over misses against Magic Pot as it has full immunity to physical and magical attacks until you give it an Elixir. Game Over also can't kill chocobos (because the chocobo is programmed to go nuts and flee if its HP is reduced to 0) and if you use it in a battle with one, it'll kill all the other enemies and you'll capture the chocobo.

Sepiroth can't take damage during the flashback, so fairly certain he can't be affected by lucky 7s unless you use cheats/mods to set his HP.

In KH1 Heartless Angel puts you at 1 HP.

With the next lowest value being 73k, there is a very small list of enemies this could affect: Ruby, Emerald, Safer, and Battle Square Proud Clod. Missing any?? Does Bizarro ever get that much? What I wonder is... if it will affect Ultima Weapon during his chase since it has a 100k global health pool.

You can explore the crater up to the moment the group reunites which will give you a yes/no prompt to continue to the end. You can still go to the highwind if you choose not to progress further so no worries about that. And last but not least, don't try to use the save crystal item that is given you a the start of the crater or else you might get softlocked in the dungeon.

Damage is rolled instantly in FFVII, even your damage. As soon as you launch an attack the game already knows how much damage it is going to deal.

Love the exploration into this game! I got a bug I encountered when a kid I wonder if you know about. I was fighting and beat safer Sephiroth and got to the last standoff, as my limit was filling up he attacked me, killed me, and I got a game over. It's been bothering me for like, 20 years.

Fascinating question: The final fight of the game, the Cloud vs Sephiroth 1 on 1, is a staged battle. Sephiroth can't kill you -- he can only deal a percent of your life. What if you hack his HP to 7777? Can you lose the fight? How does the game handle that?

As I always understand this lucky 7, it applies after the dmg is calculated and replaces the value by 7777. So I guess it should do the same for the gravity spell, the ??? ennemi talent or even with the « mini » status, right ? (It could be fun to see Mini Emerald Weapon dealing 7777 dmg, or on one of our character 😂) Thx for the math btw !

Supernova is just teleportation magic and is only a power he has thanks to Meteor causing the life stream to surge. He wants Meteor to get revenge on the people who lived while the Ancients went extinct and then he plans to take the planet as his own.

No, it's set on Gaia. Some interview said Sephiroth's Supernova is Teleportation magic. He warps the party to a far off time and place where a supernova happens. This is why it can be done multiple times
