When I first played FF12 when I was 12/13 - the Gambit system was a bore, uninteresting save for it`s necessity. But now I am addicted to the thought of going into settings-mania with it.

There's an technique called charge that you can use when you run out of MP, and it restores a big chunk of it, or it depletes it. That's why he has it as 'Self - MP

Usually, I like to grind using the Esper Method. 1. Go to Osmone Plain 2. With a Character, Summon an Esper 3. Go around killing EVERYTHING. 4. Rack up to about 10,000 - 12,000 points in EXP per summoning. 5. Make sure you do this with Embroidered Tippet Equipped *Double Exp* There's another Leveling Method for the Henne Mines. 1. Turn on a switch in the small area that unlocks the gates 2. Cast Oil on all flans and then 9999 DMG them with Fira or Firaga. 3. *Garenteed Level Up* :D

The Charge techinck on the Gambit board averts that. Means that whenever the character's Mp is low enough so that they can't cast a supportive spell, they Charge to get Mp back until they do. Unless you get extremely unlucky and Miss multiple times, or attempt this at too low a level, this shouldn't be a problem at all

@9robin3 I used to do a similar trick in ff4 to what you are doing now: You go to the land of summoned monsters,and allow an infinite amount of enemies to be summoned. Keep killing em and you'l lvl up Its good for lvling up a lot,and some areas have fast summons,making it great

My main squad is Ashe, Basch, and Vaan. Ashe is always my party leader so she's 71 while Vaan and Basch are 66. Hopefully tomorrow they will be at least ten levels higher. Will post back here with my results. Happy Thanksgiving!

my estimation was spot on. they each gained like 10 levels over night. so like an hour a level pretty much. might as well just do this till they're 99 lol

Wow!! I'm on the part where Vaan is breaking into the Fate under the Garamsyth waterway and he is at level 50. I used Dustia earlier so all the other characters will be the same level as him when they first meet up

i just spammed the bats in that lv64+ area with embroidered tippets... 5+ hours of slow level < 5 hours of jumping up 2-6 levels this does make a nice method of grinding when you're not playing the game though

@9robin3 I've tried your way of auto-level but to me fighting in the secret part really leveled me up alot my first try going through which was my only try yet since I went to michingan's adventure yesterday, I got a rare game a hunt esper and about 7 levels just running through the secret area

@gh1gh1 no, the only way to obtain zodiac spear are to dont open 4 specifics chest in the game, or to have , if i remember correctly, 8 espers and go to henne mines, but by this way, you have one chance out of 10 millions to get it... GL

@9robin3 Aren't there any better ways for xp? I mean:if its that slow,then there has to be better places for xp. You could advance the game till you get to a place that has good xp,and then lvl up real fast.

You don't have to wait 30 minutes, for him to appear. There is only 1 thing you have to do. Make sure nothing is alive. 1. Kill everything in the zone 2. re-zone 3. repeat steps 1-2 (until nothing is left) 4. Negalmuur spawns after everything is dead

@9robin3 I've actually been going through the secret part of barheim passage after getting the key and killing the scepters and black bones but it isn't auto-leveling

Pretty awesome that you figured this out. Is there any reason that this is better than just using the Pelican CodeBreaker? Besides the obvious fact that doing it this way means you don't need to buy the Pelican CodeBreaker disc - which is really cheap anyway.

@FranPPLwealthy the ONLY way to prevent doom is to use a remedy. BUT you have to unlock the remedy license number 3, for it to work again doom. and esunaga isn't available until a couple bosses later.

altough it isnt auto lvling, theres a great place to chain zombies in the luzu mine at the start of the game, within an hour you can chain 999 of them (max the game allows) nd they will drop very rare items at that chain, easy to really bump up your levels very early on

Trust me, i read hating comments on the gambit system. IMO, is one of the best things in the whole series. Some of the older FFs need a system like this one. This way the grinding would be less annoying.

No need for this. You can get to lv99 before you even get Penelo in your party for the first time. Get Vaan to 99 and everyone joins you at lvl 97+
