A fun little addition to this place is the NPC comments change with the speed you go through the content. Specifically the one at the first packs of raptors and Carvellain. You'll note in your video he commented that you were maybe afraid to hit the Sirens for fear of catching something. If you're faster he'll remark that you might've been too fast to even allow Rhoswen to shout herself raw at you.

Ymir is straight lifted from FF6, same monster, same name. Not the same gimmick though. The more shallow translation from inspiration to implementation is likely due to the era of the first game to do it.

It was two targets. The Shell was called Whelk and the worm was called Ymir.

It was Whelk in the SNES version, yes, but it was renamed Ymir in all the translations that followed.

That next video sound interesting because we know pretty much NOTHING about the period between the fall of Nym and the founding of Limsa Lominsa. Also, do you intentionally ignore references to other Final Fantasy in these Lore Tours? Ymir is the first boss from Final Fantasy VI and you didn't touch that at all.

honestly I just forgot here, I tend to mention those connections really only in places where I think there's something more interesting to extrapolate on from the connection e.g. how it might tease or anticipate future references to the same story from the same previous title.

Isn't the Knights of the Barracuda another name for the Yellowjackets, the land based "police force" whom Commodore Reyner commands?

According to various sources Yellowjackets are actually a division of the Knights of the Barracuda, more specifically of the 1st Squadron.

How does mist beards strength/'who's stronger' compare to Raubaghn. Just wondering if you would ever to a 'top 10' cannon strongest characters in ff14 (aside from asicians, sorry if you do have one) I'd think Raubahn would be top 5 maybe but anyway it would be great if you could do one, I feel it helps with the immersion in ff14. Thanks for all your work. Also Garlemald 'who's strongest would be good."

You know, I'm surprised Merlwyb wasn't more pragmatic about things. She got THE Mistbeard to see things her way and got his support. Rather than make him hang up the mantle, why not unite the pirates under his banner in defense of Lominsa? Then so many pirate factions wouldn't have become enemies to the Admiral.

Because then that would ruin the image of Mistbeard, might demoralize the pirates or make them hang up altogether. It would ruin the image of all his predecessors too. Think of it from the Pirates' views, would you obey a 'filthy traitor' or would you rather grudgingly obey the woman who had slain the greatest pirate of generations?

Why give a com to the tank, they did terrible... Your tank refused to pull more than 1 group at a time which costed you several extra minutes. I personally can't stand this type of tank and refuse to com them. Plus I'm sick and tired of tanks getting coms just because they are tanks.
