And this is why I adore the gobbies. I wish they could be made into housing retainers. Every time we have to either help or battle them I'm having a blast! Now if you excuse me I need to go trade more some hard earned shinies for gobbie booms for my wildfire.

I knew I should've picked up that Goblin speech elective, but Fifth Astral Era history just looked so enticing. The fact that the professor seemed a little..."enthusiastic" didn't help things.

I often wonder how much of what you are telling me is word for word lore right from some random side quest and how much is creative license. Regardless it's all 100 percent real to me and I thank you for it. If I had to deal with my real life problems right now I don't think I would continue to exist so burying my head here is where I need to be.

I do indulge things now and then to keep them entertaining. But you can trust that I try to keep my videos as lore accurate as possible. All the stories I tell from the FFXIV are actual events that happen in universe.

Where did you find this lore? I specifically looked to see if there was an explanation when I redid the MSQ, and I don't think Brayflox even mentioned a dragon. She just said I had a challenge and then the dungeon unlocked.

Spoiler I think Brayflox was killed by the leader of the Illuminati during the Alexander Raids when she acted as a spy for the Illuminati. :(

Spoiler You quite literally party up with her in Endwalker during the Melee DPS role quest. She's very much alive. x3

The Brayflox acting as a spy in the Alexander quests was actually revealed, a little later in the same quests, to be an Illuminati agent disguised as Brayflox. It gets mentioned very briefly, so it's easy to miss, but it's canonical.

alex/shb spoilers without the adventurer's saving brayflox both times, the alex situation have likely never have been resolved, and cid would never have gotten the experience he needed to create the time machine, and shb would have never happened, dooming the source and it's reflections

5:50 --- Well, to be honest, the Sharleyans never accumulated that knowledge for the betterment of all either... they just hoarded it. ... What can I say, ever since that Astro quests I really dont like them... Scion company excluded, of course, but the rest... No thank you.

I’m only part of the way through Stormblood, so I’m left to wonder about the Sharlayans. But what I do know implies that Loisoux was something of a rebel and wished to use his immense power and knowledge to actively change the future by doing his best to keep Eorzea safe. Using his power instead of just observing the events of the world beyond their borders and hoarding knowledge. And that some of his students and friends would join him in his endeavours thus forming half of what would become the Scions of the seventh dawn. The Circle of Knowing I think the name was. I have no way to know the truth of this without reading spoilers given that I’m still in Stormblood yet nevertheless I have some strong suspicions about what might happen to Sharlaya further down the line. I’m thinking that whatever evil is behind the upcoming world shattering danger will cause a lot of harm and damage to Sharlaya and thus force them to give up their selfish isolation and hoarding of knowledge to help save the world. But I also suspect that they’ve had the knowledge and resources to stop things like like the Bahamut or at least mitigate some of the Calamity horrors but chose not to share the knowledge that could have changed the outcome due to their isolationist and hoarding culture. But these are only theories as I don’t know the actual truth yet. But I’m curious about the Astrologian job quests, so could you explain it to me please? Include spoiler spaces to protect new players from them as much as possible.
