my favorite npc is the lady in ul'dah, she has a quest very early on, like a level 5 quest or something like that, where she made us pick up something she dropped on the ground, and was rude about it the whole time. and now her dialogue is still dismissing us as a nobody because we aren't a famous and important fighter from the blood sands. even if you're caught up on all the job quests that directly have you fight and trounce people in the arena. I hope they never change her because it lowkey gives her a whole character personality, that of someone who pretends to care about what's going on but is really just there to oggle the hotties and to her, we aren't a hottie so we aren't worthy of her attention no matter how many battles we win there.

I'm a big proponent for a New Job+ feature where you can level jobs again that you have already unlocked and potentially maxed out. I just like the leveling process and getting stronger with new upgrades. That's what RPG's are about for me. This will also mean faster queues for people going through the MSQ and/or leveling jobs new to them, so even people who don't like leveling will still benefit from the system existing. I'm also a big proponent for making the starter weapons for newly added jobs scale with level, just like Menphina's Earring scales in ilvl from L1-80. By doing that, they can add a select-able starting level for the new job and give the player the option to start at, say, L: 1, 30, 50, 60, 70 or 80. If the starter weapon scales with level, then they will only have to make 1 weapon for the new job to cover all levels up to the 'intended' starting level, while still giving players the option to select an earlier one.

I could see getting to a certain floor of Palace of the Dead solo being an Ultimog challenge. From what I remember, Necromancy is seen as some abhorrent and forbidden thing done by Sil'dih, so we're never going to get it as a job. Plus, they would have to change everything for the Chinese version if they did. The closest thing we would probably get to that is Puppetmaster, which would most likely be a limited job

10 floors (any 10), if they use a deep dungeon, since that's how the Catbook entry for it works and 1-10 is basically the same time investment as an ocean fishing trip.

I don't know what kind of job Necormancer will be, but I do know what kind of job Necromancer *won't* be: one that is playable in FFXIV
