I was playing through Shadowbringer last month. Doing a level 70-something dungeon, our healer had disconnected, and when our Ninja died early into a miniboss, they asked why the summoner never rez'd them. Summoner, for whatever reason, genuinely did not have resurrect on their hotbar and forgotten they even had access to it.

I’ve always had the opposite problem. Where a healer that died just immediately leaves and revives back to the beginning and I yell “Why?! I have rez?!” and they reply “Oh yeah I forgot!” and I’m all like sad sigh. =w=

I always using my swiftcast on garuda. Simply because of the muscle memory. Even if I play content below 90. Normally I can squeeze Ifrit into the 5 seconds but it’s always close. XD

Up until level 60 or so when Red Mage gets Verraise Summoner is my favorite class to see in the party as a healer since a good summoner is just a second/third healer for if/when the healers(me) eat shit and die. Plus like scholar there's a decent enough chance they use the carbuncle glamour for their summons and as a scholar main I always love to see Carbuncle

I needed a job for the caster role and my scholar is maxxed out, so I geared my summoner, put spells I'd never seen before on my hotbar and spent the entire questline being mad the game won't let me marry Aymeric and even I know the green one had a longer cast time.

As a red mage, and combat rez competitor to summoner. Dualcast says "I have the fastest rez in the game. Faster than even the healers!" Just don't die after I have 50/50 on my gauge, or you'll be down fro the length of my combo.

at 90? yeah garuda is technically better by like 0.2 GCDs, its literally nothing youd notice on easier content but if you care about parsing then yeah garuda SC for the AoE spell is best

The primal-summon itself is the last thing you can get into Searing Light and all 3 have the same potency so you don`t lose anything

Every time a healer dies when I'm playing SMN it's _always_ either 15 seconds after I've used Swiftcast or 15 seconds before it's up, there's no in-between so I always be hard casting, it's terrible.

It's funny. As a Summoner main, I've had the opposite experience regarding SwiftRezzing. I told some people in my FC that I tend to save Swiftcast for emergency rezzing, and a few of the hardcore raiders said that was bad. Jokes on them, like 1/2 of my Commendations are from emergency rezzing.

This is the way, nothing like the rush of a good Smn clutch. Using SC on Slipstream is only really a thing you need to consider if you're trying to maximize in high end content imo; I do it in EX farming parties and such when I can be reasonably sure my team will start dying much less.

Like I know they floated the idea of removing rez from SMN(And frankly if they did I think I might consider dropping the class.) but frankly I think they should double down on the support abilities. If they are gonna make SMN play like a Ranged DPS the least they could do is kit them out like one.

Ideally you SC slipstream to fit the cast under raid buffs and save ruin 4 for if you need to move a bit between ruby casts. If buffs get misaligned though you can just use SC for movement to keep uptime or save it for rez if you think you'll need it

Depends on the party. Play normally. If people are doing what they are supposed to do, just do your own job. Otherwise, I always assume the worst and basically become the default rez guy. I don't think I've ever used Swiftcast for anything other than Raise. Swiftcast on Garuda? Why? If anything, it would be more useful to use it on a Ruby Ruin.

At level 90 it is best to use it for the Garuda spell with a 3.5 second cast to align it with raid buffs and a 0.2 faster gcd rotation. The joke in the video is that this is a synced duty at 60 so what the summoner is doing is pointless and should raise one of the healers I hope this clarifies things

Ah yes, The class that went from putting up dots then spamming Ruin 3! Too I summon everything that caused world ending events. Also Bard update, I'm not allowed to play bard near the guild house or around guild member while crafting and not allowed to play it during Raid time because we already have a bard and need another off tank. Which is me.
