4 turn CD solem defense is pretty good, but the halved base damage on buster and extra attack makes her card damage rlly bad and it shows. Her NP gain is also pretty scuffed bc of her arts deck post transformation

Wow you can really feel the reduced extra attack effectiveness here. It seems like the append for extra attack is mandatory for her if you wanna dps with it. Ngl the reduced extra attack damage as well as the reduced buster damage feels like very unnecessary balancing because she only has 1 buster and cant manipulate your hand to guarantee her cards (or her busters) like how olga could.

Her buster and extra AOE card mechanic is quite unique - End of wave 1, single face card killed one mob, extra card still fire and killed one last mob. End of wave 3, single face cards killed Gilles, extra card wasn't used. Same on end of wave 4 too. End of wave 5, single face card killed one mob, buster card still fire and killed one last mob, then extra card wasn't used.

Basically when she changes from Single to AoE (and back in the case of Buster), the game considers it as a new instance of attacks rather than an ongoing chain, as such Guts trigger immediately and enemies at 0HP die. If all enemies die, any further moves are skipped. Interestingly her Buster triggers the attached Command Code on all targets, enabling some silly shenanigans with status effect codes and synergy with CE's (Honey Lake and Burn for example)

Aoko’s gimmick definitely feels like an almost excessive specialization in AoE, when it comes down to it. In a multi-wave solo like this, she benefits in her ability to kill adds quickly but suffers when it comes to single target… she seems like an experiment with making face-card based farmers more of a thing, honestly

She feels like Arcueid in a way. Baseline she's cool and got some gimmicks, but she only really shines with heavy investment. And unlike Arcueid, her gameplay isn't the traditional 3T looper by any means, as she's more card reliant and has no innate NP damage buffs (other than the gimmick on her S1).

I do think shes a lot better than arcueid. Arcueid was sadly very very mid, even as a farmer due to her class. Whereas aoko is very mid (or at least hard to play with) as a farmer due to kit, she seems like shes gunna shine in dpsing

If only it were tied to overcharge like Jekyll's is. I suppose it's easier to get the buffs if it's tied to NP level but that also makes it a hell of a lot more expensive.

It doesn't give it back, 50% over the halved damage only leaves you with 0.75 times the damage of the original card, and buster up is additive to other buster buffs while the base damage of the card is multiplicative, meaning that it does less damage than it otherwise would

Idk how to feel about her. I think np5 shes just insane since you can max out her extra attack damage and her buster gets 50% but idk. AOE face cards is about the evolution I was thinking would happen and I think it has application in stuff like CQ and solos. Shes just really hard to get a hit on.

The biggest draw back seems to be that she disengages for that Extra attack, meaning the enemy fades, and we miss out on that overkill. Not unworkable, but certainly annoying.

While that might seem like an issue, there are plenty of cases where such a thing can be advantageous. It lets you switch targets on a brave chain if her buster kills one of the enemies, for instance. It also lets her go through up to four enemy guts in a single brave chain, where other Servants would only be able to deal with one. Not that lacking overkill is much of a demerit to begin with, considering how poor her NP generation is in her extra attack against a single enemy

The biggest problem is that you have no way of using it without RNG, even if it did really good dmg the only change would be that you clear CQs a bit quicker. They should buff her into turning all cards in your hand into Super Aoko Buster cards the turn you use the NP.
