Actually, her NP gain is pretty much identical to Tamamo's, minus the refund on the NP of course. Which is still pretty bad, but definitely not -far- below average, thanks to the three arts cards alone. As for team mates, I can't wait for BB to come out. She will give Illya everything she needs to completely negate her downsides: Debuffs and survivability? BB has a 4-turn CD cleanse + heal + debuff immune skill. NP Gain? Have a 20% charge everytime BB uses her own NP. The enemy screws your 1-shot setup with an invincible? We can't have that, let's remove than invul and stun the enemy while we're at it. Now slap a Tamamo on top of that and we're looking at a fairly spammable 50% NP charge plus a lot of heals _plus_ CDR. Not to mention that Fox Wedding gives Illya essentially three more Buster cards to play with.

I'm pretty sure they stated their intent to give us the event anyway. And I honestly don't think it would be a problem at all; I highly doubt that everyone who enjoyed the Kara no Kyoukai event also watched the movies, for example. Besides, Japan just got a Summer BB who is also heavily involved in said summer event. Skipping the CCC event would then also mean skipping Summer 3 since it would make zero sense without BB and I really don't think they are going to pull crap like that.

Been looking forward to this one! Another great spotlight. I'm definitely going to pull for Illya. My offensive caster options are Caster Liz and...Medea I think. So I wouldn't mind options. And I do have options that can work with her like Nero Bride, Waver, Hans, etc. But even if she wasn't any good, I'd probably still pull for her just because I like the character anyways. She has weaknesses to work around, but that means raising the challenge a bit to build around her. Will see if I get lucky and get a chance to try.

Well that wasn't ideal. Got a magical book, magical healer girl (thanks Medea Lily), and a magical nurse. I didn't realize Nightingale was that magical. Well...suppose that gives me another support option to pair with Jalter. Wasn't completely deprived of magical girls...I did get seven copies of Miyu's event CE. Well there is only one way to cover for this. Kuro's getting maxed out to 100 as soon as those additional missions unlock.

Soooo got spooked by Sanzo on a single pull. Guess she was happy I praised her in your Illya spotlight and when Illya was about to appear she was like. “Master told G&A reviews he doesn’t need you because he has me!” And now I have NP4 Sanzo! Maybe the trick was that I needed Caster Nero before I could get Illya. That way a support Merlin can round things out. Kidding aside, nice to be able to enjoy this spotlight knowing I’ve got Illya hanging around. 400 quart lost last year, but far less this time around. So it pays off. A servant with her weak points. But they fit from a story perspective so I’m good with it. And at NP2 (seriously my luck went from F to EX out of nowhere here) her NP has quite the hit to it. Or at least it will when I can do her interlude...or get enough exp cards to level her.

I'm noticing a trend in the Emiya family servants when it comes to NP gain. Or maybe it's just Kiritsugu, Iri and Illya with poor NP gain, Emiya's is fairly good and I've heard Kuro's is also good

It actually reflects Illya post 2wei episode 1 imo. Due to certain circumstances, Kuro took 2/3rd of Illya's total mana capacity, which forces her to fight smarter since she can no longer brute force her way using Installs(which she can't do in FGO) or if she really needs to brute fore, her Zwei form(which is dangerous, hence the debuffs), since she no longer has enough mana to do something like the huge mana ball in a short amount of time like she did back in season 1 episode 5.

First time viewer and now subscriber. I was recommended your channel to check out Illya since she was my first 5 star pull alongside Cleopatra Assassin. I’m very new to the game though I’m a fan of the series. I’m glad to hear she’s not bad, but it does seem like there’s a lot of little/big things to take into consideration when using her. Since both debuffs are inflicted by the same thing it should protect her from both, just like "1 time" evades protect from attacks with multiple hits. Don't quote me on that though, I'm not entirely sure.

I wasn't going to roll on the Illya banner, as I had no desire to pull her (or even play this event) whatsoever, but as it turns out I need some items from the event store this time around. So I decided to roll anyways, hoping that I could get some event CEs and make my life a little easier. After having pulled absolutely no event CEs over the course of 3 multis, however, I became very frustrated and decided to say "Illya come home" aloud mid-summon, thinking it might trick the gacha into giving me the CEs I was looking for... ... ...Nope! Imagine my shock when, without any gold dust, lightning or fanfare of any sort, *that very card turned out to be Illya.* I have no words to describe this level of irony.

Rolling for Illya was a bit of a wild ride but I'm glad I got her in the end. I started rolling with 153 quartz and 63 tickets. First roll got both Herc and Saberlot in the same roll. Pretty good start but no Illya with the remainder of my quartz supply + tickets. Bought an $80 quartz pack and still no Illya but I managed to get Suzuka Gozen, Marie Antoinette, and ANOTHER Herc all in a single 10 roll. Also got d'Eon + another Gozen but still no Illya. Bought another $80 pack and first roll...both Rama and Illya :). Also got two of those Azure Magical Girl CEs in total so pretty good overall I'd say.

To be fair Illya had one advantage of her Xuan Zhang. She can actually survive an enemy NP and when she had to she can give a heal to some folk and sacrifice herself to give someone like Chole a gut and a heal. So she can support but at expense on herself and in the world where Chole exist...the buff will hit if you build your team well But most of all is her Overcharge effect I screw up an Np with Illya basically forgot to set the aim at Shuten but it didn’t matter the ghost died and the amped up buster crit blew Shuten up anyway Forget bust chain Combine her Chain with Ibaraki Np and Cock Wizard buster crit buff andwatch the carnage... their are a good reason that Np beat Ea

A Tank in the first Line isn't that bad when you consider Illya's rather low HP, besides he can also provide her with a solid Buster Buff. Martha is simply for the Debuff removal but can also soften an Enemys defenses with her 3rd skill or her NP

I'd say Nightingale works well in the backline for Illya, you can swap her in for the buster buff. So do Martha and Medea for the debuff removal in case you need it. And for longer fights I would advise Jeanne and Mash, especially post-camelot buff Mash

Well she does appear in most of the coming guaranteed banners, although not the next one we're getting. From what I can tell outside of those she'll appear again during the 2019 new years banner and another one about a year from now in August 2019. Not incredibly common, but will have a couple chances next year.

Got Illya as my first ever GSSR. Although I cant complain given how I am almost done with reuniting the Emiya family( Prisma Rerun when DW?), my JP account already has got a Xuanzang and plenty of other Casters. Illya will need to prove herself to be useful here.

So i'm a new fgo player of 14 days now and so far with 60sqs used to summon and about a dozen tickets i managed to get spooked by an archer arturia this caster illya and the 5* ce for the current event. Besides those 3 summons i also managed to pull 0 4* servants and a handful of crappy 4* ces. Don't get me wrong i'm excited i managed to summon two waifu 5* summons already but for a game i heard has such bad rates, I can't believe my luck to pull 3 5*s (2 servants and 1 ce) before any 4* servants. On a side note, any tips for how to use illya? Without the strengthning quests for her np and kuros strenghtning that adds the buff success rate to pair her with she seems a lot more lackluster then my other 5* artoria. My best units right now are lvl 60 herc lvl 70mash lvl 80artoria lvl 60 illya and the kuro once i get her, with my only notable craft essences being the 2 free kaleid ones and the 5* event ce but outside of just tossing them all on a team im not sure how to make a coherent team with them.

Yea without the right pieces and her buffs Illya can be underwhelming. Best thing I can say is take a support waver and put her, Waver, and Mash in the front line. You'll have an extremely tanky team and Illya will be able to do considerable damage and have good NP gain thanks to Waver

I'm 100% rolling for her. I haven't rolled once since I started playing and have saved every single quartz and ticket I've gotten so far. Up to 1032 SQ and 156 tickets as of now. Aiming for just 1 copy but if I get really lucky early on I'll go for NP2. Not going for more than that so I can save for other servants, like Kiritsugu so I can reunite her family.

And to be fair on her mixed deck it makes sense because she has a buster np amd designed to deal damage also if you gave her a buster brave chain shed have thr berserker deck and with the damage modifier not helping wouldnt it hinder her in a way more than help?

It wouldn't be a full on berserker deck, just 2 busters instead of 3. She would trade some NP gain for more damage, which benefits her in her case since she is less about spamming her NP and more about doing as much damage as possible in one turn. The damage modifier will always be an issue for offensive casters

I think it only resets the 3 turns To be honest I dont know cuz people always use Suspicious Medicine before using her NP
