Really like the video and perfect timing, i literally ordered the same short shifter yesterday. I cant wait to install. My stock shifter is getting really sloppy so it is time to change out. Love the car and all your abarth videos thank you. Still waiting for that valley crew gear

PITA to install that snap ring! 4 plus hours... hammer and long thick flat head in less than a minute... Key is to get the snap ring tapped in about a 1/4 then hammer down on the screw driver 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, then finally the last of the snap ring is installed. Everything else is easy. Final install with a weighted shift knob is much tighter and much less slop! Well worth the aggravation of the ‘snap ring’! PS. I did use a snap ring wrench initially (4 hours). Decided caveman time and bang it into place! The snap ring is very stiff!

I bought the bonolume short shifter, worked fine for 6 months. Then I installed the Neu-f engine mount insert. After a couple hard shifts the shifter tore right at the weld. If you’re going to do the engine mount insert, I don’t recommend this short shifter as it’s aluminum and adds stress to the shifter cables.

Those chrome trim pieces look a million times better being painted black. I think if there was a way to do them in black chrome that would also look nice. Then again I've never been a huge plain chrome fan lol.

you should of got a true short shifter by aad the shifts like a gated shifter really smooth.

Unfortunately , like most all of these videos the most difficult part...the one that would involve extra cost is skipped over. Removal of the black "basket" does not show exactly how to use the screwdriver and where to push/lever to get it out. I have mine at exactly this point and it really is not clear how hard to push or what the technique exactly is. All the rest is easy as pie. Get your camera right on the subject next time ....please!!
