Had mine for a week now and loving it. So much fun. Mines a yellow petrol one, previously had a RAV4 (1997) and the 1st gen Panda 4x4 (1984).

Just had a week of snow and still around now and caught my eye when one of my neighbours who has this car drove out across the snow and ice as if it was a summer day as opposed to the Mini Cooper in the corner which required a few people to manually push it around the corner before they could drive it. Even if you only have a few weeks of snow in the whole year this looks like a handy car to have. The Panda Cross was only one of a few cars who made it out the day after two days of heavy snow. I walked and the roads were virtually empty. Look at the way it handled that water. I live in an area which regularly floods and once watched a person overtake me as I stopped to judge the depth and watched him and thought I will wait to see if he goes around the corner to determine whether I should risk it as midnight on a school night I did not fancy the 20 mile detour but needless to say his lights died and a very angry man started wading back with water up to his knees. I took the detour but this would have breezed through. I hike and have to work my front wheel drive hard to get out of mud sometimes when the weather changes sharply so this is definitely on my short list.

In Italy there are many mountain/hill villages with tiny roads and there are many Panda 4x4 (also Suzuki Jimny), other big 4x4s would not fit on those streets.

in italy is not a problem of tiny street but of weight: this little jeep can hike everywhere (I live in mountain and with the snow is invincible)

Unfortunately, my 2017 Panda Cross Diesel Multijet 1.3 gives me the huge 8lt/100km (30mpg) consumption, and this does NOT include off-road driving. No matter how much I try, it never goes under 7.5lt/100km. So just test for at least 50km before you buy it, to check for yourselves

I live near the Italian border and whenever we go skiing we see these cars skipping around running circles, or squircels, around bigger 4x4s. The original Panda 4x4s are also still local favourites as they just work as mountain cars. I, in the meantime was skidding around in my Golf :(

You are having too much fun. The fact Fiat refuses to sell this in the U.S. where trucks and SUVS are king while containing Fiat dealers with "city cars" shows only one thing, they want Fiat to fail in the U.S. Well, job well done Fiat.....sales show your success and now that you have plunged resale value because of this strategy . Hopefully someone buys Fiat and starts selling the Panda here.

U.P. dan Im not sure if you know but Fiat is actually Exor - FCA. What it actually means is that Dodge, Jeep and Chrysler have been bought by Fiat back in 2013. I think Fiat doesn't want to sell Panda in the US because 1st - it was designed with small Italian alpine roads in mind - roads where a Land Rover would be too big and 2nd - they probably want the US brands that are in the FCA - to win on the US market. Why selling a small car for Euro road when you can sell the jeeps and the dodges? Doesn't really make sense. Unless they've made something US suited.

I got the Panda 4x4 multijet about 3 months ago and i like the fact it is very capable in any terrain and bad weather etc but as you say, it is not a ridiculous pointless overblown SUV that are mainly driven by women who just dont get it do they. Driving a Range Rover does not make you look like royalty love. It is a dated idea that maybe worked in the mid 80s in Cheshire. Times have moved on.

Has it got locking diffs?
@PhantomTD9 жыл бұрын
Nope, but the offroad mode "simulates" a 50-50 center diff. The antispin can also help when one wheel on one axle is spinning. But it is not as hardcore as real locking diff's.

Reminds me a lot of the Suzuki SX4 which is the Fiat Sedici. Is this what replaced it?
