Great video👍 l have seen the handtool to cut turf. Then they dry it in piles/staks/or similar. But here the machine grinds it? And compress it? Do you get more kwh/litre dry turf in this way, compared to the hand cut way? Nice Fiat by the way👍 l have a 580DT, and a F 140 Winner. Thank you for your kind comment. Yes the handtool called the sleán is the old way of cutting turf. Used commonly up to about 60 years ago. Some people still use them. Yes the turf hopper and mixer/auger setup mix and chop up the raw bog. It is important to mix the bog well as at different heights in the turf bank the consistency is different. Therefore better turf is cut by a machine than by hand. Every piece of turf is the same quality from this machine. Enjoy your summer too, we won't take any notice of the climatists!🇮🇪🇮🇪
