not only about the bloodline or race or roots of a citizen, it's also about the policy and influence of a country to gain a citizenship. one good example is giannis antetokounmpo, he is a pure nigerian blood but born and raised in greece by his nigerian parents. Giannis don't have a proper citizenship (on paper), until before he was discovered by local (greek) basketball scouts and granted him a greek citizenship prior to his nba draft. so sa case ni jordan clarkson, kahit meron siyang dugong pinoy, at hindi naman siya talaga nakatira sa pinas, diyan papasok ung mga fiba requirements: tulad ng able to gain philippine passport before 16 y/o; or ung residency status sa pinas at nakapaglaro ng matagal sa mga local basketball league sa pinas na accredited ng fiba. at ung pinaka-matindi sa lahat na requirements... money talks, power and international influence.
