Love you tutorials as they taught me mosaic crochet! Your work is beautiful as well! I learned the 10 + 6 method how do I convert this to make it work in my 10+6 blanket?
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 4 жыл бұрын
You wouldn't convert this design you would make the 10+6 work with this. I just did a video last week about combining different mosaics with various multiples that may help you understand just how to do this! It's on the Mosaic Monday playlist if you want to check it out. When you do the math out this pattern will work with the 10 plus 6 very well I believe on your blsnket. You will have less repeats of this pattern on the row because it's a larger multiple.

Hi Rose! Thank you so much!!! I actually encourage people to sell the items they make from my videos or charts! You can make anything you want and sell it! It's up to you on whether you credit me or not, I really don't mind if you take all the credit for your made item! There are several makers on Instagram making items for sale and its so wonderful seeing that! Typically they fetch a bit more than your typical crocheted items as well. 😁

I'm working on the charts for that one and trying to plan a CAL on here for it. I was hoping to do it in the fall but once I finish up all the charts and get it all back from my tester I will have the complete mosaic pattern for that one in my shop. I'm doing it all in one type thing since each design works off the previous one to create that particular blanket. And yes I'll definitely see what i can come up for Apache tears in the diamond. Thank you!!!! Glad you are enjoying my channel and I appreciate your suggestion!

I’m doing a pillow cover incorporating 50 loops. How do I continue the pattern? Do you have a pattern I can follow?
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 4 жыл бұрын
I've got a chart for this design but if you watch the video I put out last week about combing different patterns that may help you. It's on the mosaic Monday playlist. This pattern is a bit larger, 2 repeats of it will give you 58 total stitches so you would need to start each row after the first 4 stitches that I show. You would do the traditional single then wait 4 stitches and start with the 5th stitch I show on the tutorial. Your row will naturally end 4 less than I show because you will run out of space. I hope this is making sense. I'm doing this off the top of my head and trying to explain lol

Hi, I tried your pattern casting 59 stitches. First row ended with 58 stitches. Next row I did the pattern but I ended up missing stitches. Any clue please?
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 3 жыл бұрын
Check behind your dc's, each dc should take up 1 stitch. Most dropped or added stitches are usually because we grab the wrong stitch after finishing a dc. Using a stitch marker to mark the end of the repeat will help you to keep count as well. Hope this helps!
@isabelveloso3360
@isabelveloso3360 3 жыл бұрын
Hi, I tried again with 59 stitches ( 2 X 28 plus 3) but to no avail. So I cast 61 and it worked. If I want to mix the chevron with another mosaic pattern, any recommendations? Thanks for your videos.
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 3 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what you are doing differently (or if I gave incorrect repeat on the video) but hey if it's working out that way, great! Your going to have to do some math, Main chevron is working out for me on a multiple of 28, when you want to mix patterns you want to try and pick patterns that are evenly divided by the original multiple that you are basing your project on. So in this case 28 can would work out with patterns that are a multiple of 14. More will work out depending on the project size you do. So if you were doing a very large blanket or a table runner that you are chaining the total length out and just workung it up as wide or tall as you wanted and you did 28 × 10 repeats for 280 chains, patterns that are multiples of 5, 7, 8, 10, 20, 40 would all work out because you can divide them evenly into that count. You may find that you have to add a few single crochet or dc at the start of your row before you start the repeat on a pattern you are adding if its not evenly dividing into your project's count because of those + stitches. I have an older vodeo where I stumble thru trying to explain and show what I mean but many did find it very helpful so I'm linking it here for you kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3LLpoZoeLJghdk And thank you and really sorry about the issues! Hope this is helpful, if not feel free to ask more questions.
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 3 жыл бұрын
Also if I'm following your count, you chain 61 and have 60 stitches left that you are working with. If you subtract the 2 border stitches (sc' at the start and end if row) you have 58 working stitches. So that's what you have to work with dividing the different multiples with.

Fiber Fox Studios I mean once I finish the repeat the first time on row 4, how do I continue that row since it’s longer than your tutorial sample Do I go back to the beginning of the row repeat or what? I may have to wait til morning when my brain is clearer!😂. You’re so sweet to answer my stupid question!
@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 4 жыл бұрын
@@debbiemyers5167 it's not a stupid question! Yes you start back over at the beginning of the row. You will do everything after the traditional single crochet again. That very first sc is for the edge only. So if you repeat all the same stitches again you will be good to go! So you will do: 1 drop dc, 4 bk loop sc, 2 drop dc, 4 bk loop sc, 2 drop dc, 2 bk loop sc, 2 drop dc, 4 bk loop sc, 2 drop dc, 4 bk loop sc, 1 drop dc. If you were doing something bigger you would start all that over again and keep doing that same set of stitches till the end Hope that helps!!!

@FiberFoxStudios
@FiberFoxStudios 9 ай бұрын
Can you tell me what you have as the repeat for the row you are on? You are working a set of 28 stitches, so to move on you literally start over at the beginning of the repeat. Marking the start or end of the repeat will help you keep it straight. I show continuing to work a repeat on row 3 of the majority of my tutorials, you have just landed on one of the few that doesn't show 2 repeats. You can also email with details (row #, what you have as the repeat) and a clear pic of your work to fiberfoxstudios@gmail.com The only other thing I can suggest is to work a sample of a smaller pattern to get used to how these patterns are worked. This one is a multiple of 4 kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYevfJZ4epplo9Esi=sImkBDug1gU5xdMz

@FiberFoxStudios 9 ай бұрын
Hey there, if you are not lining up you have most likely missed a stitch of the repeat or you have worked a sc into the same stitch that a DC is taking up. At the end of the rows I give you a recap, check your work against the recap to figure out if you have missed a stitch. You are working the exact set of stitches that I give you over and over to continue. So on row 5 you end repeat with 3 sc, and begin immediately with 3sc that start the repeat. Repeat for row 5 is: 3sc, 2dc, 4sc, 2dc, 6sc, 2dc, 4sc, 2dc, 3sc Timestamps are in the description but to get directly to the recap on row 5 ypu can go to 31:15 in the video. Hope this helps!
