2 things 1: the colours are SO dreamy in the way they blended in that batt. Loved it so much! 2: the ASMR of the carder picking up the wool is not to be joked about. You could literally do a real time batt video with that drum carder and I would watch the whole thing.

I like variegated batts and yarns, I would do the repeating color pattern/self striping because I usually work on small projects and would want to get all the colors in each item.

Beautiful gradient I've done a couple on my classic but mine isn't as big as yours so can only do 3 to 4 colours at a time. But I'm thinking of investing in the larger one like yours I think, thank you so much for sharing this with us all much love and light and big virtual hugs x

Supercool to see how you can transform a braid into your own batt! Right now I'm thinking of making my own batt, however I'm considering not going from a braid. What sort of keywords/terms should I look for if I want to get a handful of individual colors that I can then blend myself on a drum carder? I'm a weaver by trade so I'm still learning all of the fiber and spinning terminology! Shop recommendations are also appreciated

Loving this idea! I have a beautiful “almost” rainbow braid that I was trying to decide how to prep and spin. I’ve also been eyeing Stephen West;s Pagona shawl pattern. How awesome the rainbow braid spun as a gradient would look in that shawl. Thanks Trish!
