I found your video by accident and I am so glad I did. You are an amazing teacher. I have struggled and struggled to try to learn new stitches wanting to make a different afghan. You working right along with me has helped me so much. I live in a nursing home and am in a room by myself at the moment so it gets a bit lonely. I really enjoying you chatting away. I have been working on this afghan all day watching you and pausing as I need to. Thank you so very much for making my day bright. God Bless You.

Hi FiberSpider, I love the look of this, just beautiful. It looks like a lot of work, but definitely worth iit. Another on my list to try. That list is growing so quickly I can't keep up. Thanks for sharing this with us. Blessings to you and yours. Kathy B. (Fairylady0227)💜

Kathy Brenneman, This is the first pattern I am trying and it does work up VERY quickly. Fiber Spider has 3 videos so far with this. I have already started 3 of these blankets in about 4 hours. FiberSpider, the suggestion for a smaller hook for me helped. Now just waiting for the next video to continue this pattern. Thanks again for sharing your talent. Following along with you, for this blanket, is helping me get over my fear of trying new patterns beyond the basic granny. Thanks again!!

I'm in the middle of following this tutorial and I am loving it, you are so good at teaching and taking the time to show every important stitch! I don't know if anyone has told you that at 7:49/7:50 you say double crochet instead of single crochet😂 I couldn't resist not telling you🙈🥰❤

Hey Spider, I just wanted to ask you, is this video a continuation of the virus meets granny shawl in order to make the blanket or must I start from the beginning? Thanks a bunch!
@FiberSpider5 жыл бұрын
The shawl and the blanket are two different projects altogether. The shawl is worked in rows, whereas the blanket is done in rounds. Both use the same repetitions of stitches but in a different way. I hope this clarifies things 😊☕🕸🕷

Love this blanket. Am not sure how much I will love it by Christmas. I have 4 grandkids that all want one. However they want them larger than a twin but not as large as a full. Also all want the new Lion Brand Ferris Wheel. Any idea as to how much yarn I might need for each. I don't mind overage but with the holidays coming I don't mind buying more but don't want have not enough. Overages in this softness will make lovely premies blankets.

Thanks once again. Are you not doing live chats anymore? I was not always able to listen so maybe I missed something about that. This is perfect I think for a upcoming wedding gift. I luv when my phone tells me you have another tutorial. I have learned so much from you. Take care, and many thsnks.

Thank you for this lovely blanket pattern. I do sell my crochet things on Etsy. I hope you are okay with my selling the finished product. I will, of course, give you credit and a link to your videos when It is up for sale. Please say I have your permission. I am trying to get my daughter to watch your videos. She has learned to do a dc and has done a king size blanket just using dc. I think if she would just watch your videos she would be able to progress. You make everything very clear to follow and I do enjoy your banter and your honesty! Very refreshing. Thank you for sharing your talent.
@FiberSpider6 жыл бұрын
Thank you for asking, and as far as I'm concerned yes you may sell your finished work. As for your daughter, that's so great! Encourage but don't push, sometimes we find a favorite stitch and just run with it. I was hooked on the DC for ages making doggy blankets for animal shelters. You could suggest using two different colored strands and a larger hook to create a fun variation for her. 😉😊🕸🕷☕

Thank you so much! Is there a way to make this bigger to fit a twin bed?
@FiberSpider6 жыл бұрын
Ultimately you can make it whatever size you want. It will however be a square shape if you follow this pattern solely. If you want a rectangle shape, you can make smaller squares using this pattern and connect them when the pattern is on a granny section I believe.

question... Why do you skip over the single chain 4 space and not do a single crochet in it? just curious... Because I single crochet in on the shawl...
