@@FictionAddiction hey esh, i have a question, one danish usagi fan to another, my friend REALLY wants to get into usagi comics and i was wondering do the realtively recently released "usagi yojimbo origins" TPBs contain stories like the duel or the first meeting with jei?

​@@simonhassnilsson7009 Not yet. The two "Origins" collections so far collect colored re-releases of issues #1-12 of the original Fantagrphics run. This includes the story "Samurai" (Detailing USagi's bakcstory), a few stories I have mentioned in my other videos ("The Tower," "A Mother's Love" and "Blade of the "Gods" which introduces Jei) and a few others. As far as I can tell ,they do NOT include the three earliest stories from Albedo Anthropomorphics, like "Goblin of Adachigahara", but they are still a great place to start if you wanna go chronologically. Buying these may be the best way to get the Fantagraphics stories however, as the only other way at the moment is either finding the original books on eBay, or buying the "Usagi Yojimbo Special Edition" which is a big collection of all seven books, but is fairly expensive. So in short: No, The Duel specifically is not in it. If I were to guess, that wouldn't pop up until Origins #5. But there's a lot of good stuff in these two books.

Bunraku was such a fun story to get into Usagi Yojimbo. “More sinister than children” bit had me laughing. The Hero was moving for Lady Mura’s determination to write a story.

I'm so glad you mentioned Sasuke and two stories that have him in! He's one of my favourite characters who I find to be really underrated as I always enjoy seeing somebody like Usagi who typically deals with rather grounded situations for the setting deal with somebody like Sasuke who is definitley more fantasy esque.

The best part about all the Sasuke chapters is that they are kind of written as if Usagi is not the main character, he is just a friend stumbling into Sasuke's comic and getting overwhelmed by all the weirdness.

Always glad to see Usagi Yojimbo covered! Though I thank TMNT for getting me introduced to the character, its always been awesome seeing the character honored in nearly every incarnation! Yojimbo finally getting his own animated series( hopefully) will help showcase some of his fantastic stories that are criminally overlooked!

I love it when you go on to Usagi Yojimbo. BUT! I do wish for one day doing a retrospective series on the story's origin... Maybe doing an AT4W crossover(if he's available) or atleast in his style of comic reviews based on the earliest comics with the ronin rabbit... Just a thought!

I recently bought "The Return" saga, and I had to do some double takes as well while reading! I love how Mariko is portrayed in the arc; how she's not just Kenichi's wife and Jotaro's mother, but she's trained with a sword by her father. She was such a badass in that arc!

Would love to see what you have to say about the TMNT crossovers. My favorite story is Dai Sho, the one when some bandits steal Usagi's swords and he has to borrow the swords of some bandits he defeated earlier to hunt down his weapons due to the spiritual value a samurai's weapons have to them.

Is there a cartoon version of Teru Teru Bozu, since I only found it was seen in a Usagi Yojimbo comic book I am asking here, but where or which cartoon had Teru Teru Bozu like Momotaro in one Samurai Jack episode and in Clifford's Puppy Days tells a tale of Issunboshi did and even the kappa in cartoons shown or mentioned, please anybody know which 22 minute cartoon has Teru Teru Bozu too, because I want to see so badly like there should be one out there like really should be there after or before the comic of Usagi drawing a face on a Teru Teru Bozu? I even said so much in my videos too you'll see in my channel!

Hopefully we'll one day get a cool high quality Usagi collector figure line. I love the fact he's got a figure in some of the TMNT Toylines but I'd kill for some of the other characters to get figures too

@@FictionAddiction Wow really? I'll have to look into it! Though I will warn you,NECA is infamous for it's quality control issues. I and many others have had figures break through basic posing or in some cases; come broken in box. NECA is also pretty infamous for it's refund policy too. Sorry if that killed the hype but I felt it fair to warn you
