Same. I'm 13 as I'm writing this and was born and raised in the countryside of Ohio even to this day, but absolutely *HATE* modern country music. Bluegrass is alright, but country music now is absolute garbage. I prefer to listen to what my parents and grandparents (especially my dad) would normally listen to. Things like Pink Floyd (especially their early stuff with Syd Barrett), Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, you get the idea.

My father was born in Ballydavid, on the Dingle Peninsula. He left in 1925 to sail to America for a new life and never returned. I've always felt sad about this because I never asked him why he didn't return before he passed. I visited his village in 2005 and felt his spirit there. It was a truly magical place. 💚☘️

My dad left Scotland in 1960, I have a lot of similar feelings about things I never asked. His grandfather was Irish and our whole family on that side is extremely Irish. Never got to figure many things out. But very grateful for my dad. He played this music, took my to Celtic games… great culture. Now I continue it here in Canada

Finally visited my family’s hometown in Ireland. Cleaned my family grave. Walked the town and retraced my grandpas steps. I tell you that Ireland is the the light. Go there experience a pub. Mexican Here. With this music and the theme i can't avoid thinking of a fantasy themed world. In fact. If what lies beyond death is isekai (rebirth in another world scheme), i can imagine this being one of the places where i would go more often. After a long day, exploring the land, hunting monsters and criminals and then doing other quests for money, nothing feels better than quenching the thirst with a glass of beer. Yeah, i would be living to the max.

It's actually called irish, only people outside ireland would ever call it Gaelic, funnily enough the word for Irish in irish is "gaeilge" which can be confusing for some because it's a bit similar to what people think it is. Irish or gaeilge.

Listening to this, makes me miss Ireland so much! I was so lucky because I was here, at Dolan's pub, three and half years ago, sitting at the bar while listening to the live Irish music with goosebumps and tears in my eyes. I realised that I fall in love with this land. Bless from China.

I am Argentinian and we have our own folkl and Irish music really fascinates and enchants me. I discovered this music when I was a teenager and I try to teach my daughter about this culture that I decided sent her to an Irish school in Buenos Aires and there they celebrate their traditions . good bless ireland :-)

My great grandfather emigrated from Limerick during An Gorta Mor in 1850. My grandmother was raised in Ireland (County Roscommon) and emigrated to U.S. in 1920.

I've visited Ireland several times. Such a beautiful country, beautiful music, lovely language, and the best people anywhere! I've experienced music in pubs similar to this, and nothing compares with hearing it in such a setting. Could I retire anywhere in the world, it would be in Ireland.

Finding myself listening to this wonderful music remembering my wonderful father in law who passed away 1 year ago today. He was from Limerick and found his way to the UK after many years of struggles, I thank him for that as I met such an amazing, warm and loving person who I could not imagine not meeting. We miss you every day. Listening to his favourite traditional music has made my tears flow but a smile is all he would show and your heart would melt. Miss you so much Will. xxx

I only ever been in Ireland once, in Macroom, Kilkenny and a few castles, golf courses and links. What a magnificent place, friendly locals, amazing scenery. I love the Irish always got along fine with them, had Irish flatmates when I was living in London and one of them saved my life at a rave. God bless Ireland, Luca from Italy.

Listen to Foggy Mountain Breakdown or Orange Blossom Special and you will hear the roots. It’s why they use The Gale in Last of the Mohicans. That’s why I say “in its purest form.”

Don’t talk bad about Yorkshire, Yorkshire is gods country haha. As a Yorkshireman myself with Irish, Scottish, English and Scandinavian ancestry I love all of Northern Europe but Yorkshire is my home.
