Bottomland Outdoors I might have an idea for ya to help with the trolling motor too, I'll look think certain spring mechanisms might could be used to it could flip up on impact and go back, most hold up well now anyway though.

Like what you are doing. I have a shadow caster as well and have done quite a few things to make life easy. Currently trying to figure out how to organize/lay my rods out in front of me rather than have then all tangled up or pointing up in rod holders. This is one of the things I miss most from the Jon Boat!!! I currently bring about 6 different rigs on any given Sunday and I'm just not willing to sacrifice. Let me know if you have any ideas.

Question where did u get ur seat setup? And was it rigged up and how did u rig it up to sit so high, I'd like to know bc I've been trying to find out where I can get a set up at, and that one u have is the best I've seen so far.

Do you have a way to trim the trolling motor up or down? And I assume the head set up in the track doesn’t get in the way?

I would add a little depth to the underside of the motor mount with extra wood and drill through it with a forstner bit enough for the c-clamp to go inside...

take that trolling motor head off and get a plastic plug in outlet for houses. Put the controls inside that. All you need out of that head is the small wiring box.

Brody Newman I bought the ones that academy sports sells.. I can’t remember the brand.. they are are okay in like adhesive quality but they look great when illuminated.

awaken onanotherworld it’s plenty powerful. Goes faster than most boat trolling motors and I’ve never ran out of battery with it’s but I’m using a 105 ah battery. It’s fish easy 5-6 hours. Motor draws 15-20 amps per hour

Cason Price my next upgrade will be a boat for sure but kayaks are a great entry level way to get out on small lakes and get off the bank though. I have had this kayak for about 2 years now and at the time of purchase I didn’t have the money to even consider a boat. I’ve had my eyes on ranger 18rt but just waiting to get out of college and start working to pay for it. Haha

Bottomland Outdoors true, many still enjoy kayaks more after getting a boat for more accessibility. Lot of decent brands of aluminum boats out there to look into though, too.
